QB Desktop: show vendors on Job Profitability/Item Actual Cost Detail report?

You can run the Item Actual Cost Detail report. Before doing so, let's make sure to enter the name of the vendor and other details when creating a bill.

How to modify (add a column Source Name) to Quick Zoom "Item Actual Cost Detail" report?

Need to modify the default canned Quick Zoom report (NOT CREATE A CUSTOM REPORT these do not pull up automatically when Quick Zoom is clicked)

We can only add the Source Name column after Quick Zoom or when you customize the Item Actual Cost Detail report. We're unable to make it automatically pop up when you do the Quick Zoom.

If you're checking multiple items, you can Quick Zoom the total Act. Cost of a Job Profitability Detail report of a job. Then, add the Source Name column. This will save you time, especially if you're checking a lot of items.

Please advise how I can customize the Item Actual Cost Detail report.  

I want to customize the default canned Quick Zoom Item Actual Cost Detail report, so the one that is run when Quick Zoom is clicked includes the "source name" column.

I do NOT want to have to customize the Item Actual Cost Detail report AFTER Quick Zoom is clicked.  I know how to do that and I know how to create custom reports which do this...  currently I have to do this customization EVERY TIME I click Quick Zoom and I do this many many times per day...

I appreciate you telling us what you need in detail. I wanted to help you achieve your goal, however, the only way to customize the source name is to click the Customize Report tab every time.

Letting us know what works best for you will show our developers what they need to consider in future product updates. I'll be sure to pass this request to them.

In the meantime, you can only save the Item Actual Cost Detail report by using the Memorize option.
