Have you tried with moclips and DBJennings recommended?  It worked for me.  I also turned off in preferences that I prepared 1099's, closed QB's, restarted and turned it on again.  Not sure if that helped at all, but between that and moclips and DBJennings advice I was able to print 3 to a page 1099's.  So relieved.  Hope it works for you.

Edit then preferences and then I reset the update and then I hit save before mapping again.  Don't know why it worked for me finally....I kept closing and saving and shutting down computer each time to allow new updates to actually update.....I also cleared cache in the computer...that may block things too...

Read the posts by moclips and DBJennings.  That's what worked for me.  I hope it works for you.

Were you able to figure it out?  Between the advice of moclips and DBJennings, I was able to print 3 to a page.  I also turned off the 1099 preference, closed QB's, and turned it back on, I don't know if that helped, but you know when you are desperate anything is worth trying.  :)  I hope you got it to work!!

I have checked "reset updates", updated, closed the program, rebooted MULTIPLE times.  Finally had one series where QB (2022 Pro Plus) took some time updating, and I had to re-map all the accounts so I thought I had it, but when I got to the print preview it was STILL two to a page.  So frustrating!  Sending out 1099's should be a half hour process.  I've spent two days and $250 for QB 2022 (I had 2013 and was fine with it till now) and still no progress.

OH MY GOSH!!  After the 10 time updating (after checking "reset updates", closing the program, and re-opening, all the mapping was locked for the 1099 NEC. Went into the 1099 MISC and changed them all to "Omit", saved and closed, went back to NEC, checked the box for "all payments in box 1, and VIOLA, got to the print preview and IT'S THREE TO A PAGE!!.  Thanks for posting - it really shouldn't have been this much of a pain but at least it's move on time!

Go to 1099 MISC (not NEC) and go the third step where you select accounts

ONCE THERE, use the drop down menu and select OMIT FROM 1099

SAVE THIS WORK

Then go back out and select 1099 NEC

Go to the third step.

your accounts can now be mapped.

It only took me a hundred hours on the phone with them to finally figure this out myself.

my accounts that are mapped, are grayed out and won't let me select the drop down menu to omit.  Any suggestions?  

DID YOU FIND A SOLUTION?  MY QB IS UPDATED BUT I ALREADY PURCHASED 2-PART 1099 FORMS. HOW DO YOU CHANGE QB TO PRINT 2-PART FORMS INSTEAD OF 3-PART FORMS?

You have 2 part 2021 1099NEC forms?  I thought they were only 3 part forms for 2021?  NO, none of the solutions have fixed my printing problem.

No, I have 3 part; however; what happens when you run the updates to GET the forms, you are LOCKED into "box 15" on the 1099 MISC side --- first, get the most recent updates in there, then unmap and remap your accounts and FINALLY you should see the 3 part forms -- but only then.

I have done the update now and restarted QB and my computer and the 1099 NEC still wants to print 2 per page.  Is there anything else I need to do to get these to print 3 per page like the forms are?

My client is using Enterprise 2020, I have done all the updates and the 1099 NEC forms are printing 2 up instead of 3 up.

I want to make sure you'll be able to print the 3 part 1099 NEC.

It's possible that your QuickBooks Desktop doesn't meet the release version. To verify, let's click the F2 button on your keyboard. Once the release is included on the list below, you should be able to print the 3 part 1099-NEC.

• QuickBooks 2022/Enterprise 22 - R3_71 (or later)
• QuickBooks 2021/Enterprise 21 - R8_62 (or later)
• QuickBooks 2020/Enterprise 20 - RR13_39 (or later)
• QuickBooks 2019/Enterprise 19 - R16_55 (or later)

done the update many times, still cannot print 3 parts

very frustrated. same experience, bought 2022 QB and updates many times and still print 2 parts

I have 2022 Quickbooks Pro Plus 2022 and this didn't work.....how do I get it to print 3 up.

I performed all the steps to Update QB Desktop, including critical updates.  But, nothing happens when I select print..  QB was printing b4 I did the updates, but only 2 NEC to a page.

I did this as well as every other fix mentioned by other users. NOTHING has worked. The help feature from the software doesn't work either. I've updated the computer and quickbooks multiple times. Help!!

THis problem is STILL NOT SOLVED. QB desktop is not printing 1099-NEC. When are you going to fix this?!?

I have spent the past 3 hours trying to get the 1099 NEC to print. Yes, I have followed the instructions. Now I can't get any 1099 to print at all rather right or wrong. I need to be able to give out 1099 tomorrow with payroll.
