Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser. If the same error persists, sign up for a separate Melio account for free to integrate with QBO.

You can get $100 as cashback to pay your first bill with credit card. T&C apply.

Can we get a response from Intuit, please?  The splash screen about a new approach to pay bills has no links, no information.  There was no warning that the online bill payment service would be shut down.  When will the new one be available?  How am I supposed to pay bills electronically in the mean time.  If I have to sign up with a third party, I won't be coming back to Quickbooks service.

Hi there, mderoycpa and TogetherandCo.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Before we proceed, did you encounter an error? I agree with Fiat Lux - ASIA. Let's open your QuickBooks Online through an incognito/private browser. Your browsing history can be one of the possible reasons you have problems paying bills.

To open it, press these shortcut keys:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

Once you get everything working, I recommend clearing your browser's cache to ensure everything runs smoothly. Plus, it's a good way to make sure any sensitive information isn't stored on your device. If you're having trouble with private browsing, you might want to consider using a different browser. This will help ensure you have the most secure and optimal experience when using QuickBooks. For more information on system requirements, take a look at this helpful article: System Requirements For QuickBooks

Moreover, here are articles to help you manage bills inside QBO as well as pay your bills using Bill Pay:

Incognito not working. I am a Melio user, but still receive the splash message A new approach to pay bills is coming soon, and I can't get out of the message to pay invoices. Please respond

I get the splash screen too.  Nothing to do but click 'back'.

I've been paying bills online with QBO for some time.  Now I suddenly can't?  Wtf?!

The incognito browser made no difference.  Same result.

I'm not going try to set up a separate Melio account because this was already set up.  I've been using it for years.  What happened?!

I recently received announcement of another price-hike.  Wth you guys?!  If you're going to continue jacking up the price how about providing some reliable service?  And some decent support when the reliability breaks down?!

Hello there, wcm & keith.

This isn't the experience I want you to have, and I understand that you're still currently facing an issue with an incognito window while trying to pay your bills.

As initial steps to get this work, you can use other compatible browsers as advised by my colleague. Here are the lists of supported browsers in QBO.

  • Google Chrome: version 78 or newer
  • Mozilla Firefox: version 76 or newer.
  • Microsoft Edge: version 79 or newer
  • Safari: version 12 or newer (Mac only).
  • Opera: version 68 or newer
  • Samsung: version 10 or newer

If it does not resolve the issue, I recommend reaching out to Melio support for further guidance.  They can provide specialized assistance and help you navigate through the issue to ensure you can successfully pay your bills. They have the necessary expertise to address technical concerns and provide personalized solutions.

To contact Melio support, you can visit their official website and go to the Contact section to view the contact details. There, you'll find various options to reach out to their dedicated support team, such as live chat, email, or a helpline. Be sure to provide them with the details of your situation, including the splash message you're encountering, so they can assist you more effectively.

In the meantime, I recommend signing directly to Melio's website to make a scheduled payment.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Visit again if you have more concerns about making payments in the system. I'll be right here to help.

I found a work-around.  Chrome didn't work and an incognito browser window within Chrome didn't work either.

However, switching to Safari browser worked (and didn't need to be incognito)

When schedule online payment is pressed this screen, which is part of QBO, appears and there is only a back button that takes me back to bill payments. Incognito still has the splash screen so not a fix or work around. Yesterday the splash screen was not here but now QBO doesn't make bill payments so we have go to Melio. Is QBO phasing out bill payments?

At least the splash screen could say under maintenance and give us some options. This is ridiculous!

Hi Keith and OmniBlue,

Thank you for letting us know about the prompt you're receiving when scheduling a bill payment. I have an update about this.

We've already informed our engineers about the issue with the Bill Pay solutions. In connection with this, you'll want to contact our QBO Support team. This way, they can get your account information in a more secure environment and link your account to the open ticket (INV-90039) for updates.

In the meantime, you can sign in to your Melio.com account, select a vendor, pull up the bill, and create a schedule payment.

I'm just right here if you have any other concerns about QuickBooks Online. Take care and have a good one.

I switched to a Firefox browser (from Edge) and I was able to process an online payment without the error message. Clearing cookies in Edge did not work.  FYI..

I saw that too! Looks like there’s a bug, but you can still make payments by logging into Melio.com directly with your Intuit info. If you already have Bill Pay in QB, you don’t have to make a new Melio account it should all be there already

Hi there! I did see this come up this morning as well. There did appear to be a bug, but you do have the ability to log into Melio.com with your QB login info. You would go to the site and click "sign in with intuit" and enter your QB credentials. This will give you access to your same account that you have in QB and you wont have to start from scratch, as it would already be synced to QB. All your info will remain the same. I hope this helps!
