Dealing with the new invoice interface can be challenging at first, Juan. Your feelings are valid in this situation. Allow me to share details about your concerns.
QuickBooks has updated the invoicing experience to include more features. Users have been migrated to this new interface to improve business productivity. Starting May 6, 2024, users won't be able to switch back to the old layout.
Since you are facing challenges with the new invoice layout, please share your valuable feedback with our product development team. Doing so will help us improve our interface and provide a better user experience for you.

As for the business information's inaccuracy, you can check the audit log to see if someone made any changes in your company.
Also, you can search for your invoices by going to the Sales menu. Please follow the steps below.
Additionally, you can refer to this article about personalizing your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
Let us know if you have other concerns regarding the new look of invoices. We'll be here to share details and help in any way we can.
Nope!!! I hate the changes as well.!!!
No, you're not. Most everyone hates the new invoices. We've been telling Intuit that since they came out months ago, and basically nothing has changed, and now they're making them the only option.
I agree I dislike the layout. It’s more cumbersome. At least add a shipping charge block at the bottom of an invoice. Have yet to find a way to add the shipping charge without enclosing it into the body of the invoice which would be inaccurate because then sales tax would be added including shipping charges.
Shipping charges should be added outside. The body of the invoice.
Still trying to add a shipping charge block outside the body of the invoice.
this new version is very difficult and quite cumbersome to use.
I am aware of the difficulty you are in, al-hanson. Having this efficiency in the new layout invoices would be much more convenient when managing customer sales transactions in your file.
With the program's new rollout updates, reverting to the old or classic sales form interface is unavailable. Please know that this valuable feedback is valid as we aim to improve your overall experience so you can keep going in managing your business.
For now, you can always submit your suggestions directly to our product developers. This way, they'll consider your idea and will work on its progress to include them in future product updates. To do this:

Not only is it a pain, but is not working!!!
Price rules can no longer be used and the categories that products are assigned to no longer show up in the drop down list for easier selection.
I'm still trying to determine what functionality they say they added. QB...show me five improved real functions and I'll stop my rant. QB removed the Accepted Date, Accepted By, Territory, Internal Note, Order Number fields entirely from mobile. It's many more clicks and not intuitive to add shipping, adjust tax or provide a discount. There are no other available fields to add that information to, so reports we built and rely on for sales reports, accountability, incentive tracking is lost without having to track it after the fact. If you are a one man(person) company walking dogs, QBO might work, but we 10 people across three markets on the road, fully mobile, and QB doesn't work for us anymore. Looking at work arounds. I'm requesting the CEO from Intuit (that made $27MM last year) to come spend two days with my team, and show me a workaround. Customer service couldn't.
@chriswbird RE: QB...show me five improved real functions and I'll stop my rant.
Rest assured, there aren't any. But it's more streamlined now. And we at intuit are always working to create solutions that work for everybody.
I am here to explain to you that by removing all those features that cluttered up the interface and made it so hard to use, it is more streamlined. With the new and better invoices a lot of old, pesky features are unavailable. We even buried a lot of functionality that we didn't remove that people use all the time - to make it more streamlined. Because that's important. So now that used to take a click now takes five. Rest assured, this is much better, we are sure! You will soon learn to love the new super streamlined invoices.
You are not the only one. I hate QuickBooks, and now after attempting to work today and finding that Intuit has yet AGAIN installed a new UI, I am actively looking to replace it,. The UI is not the problem, adding features that people have been needing for decades is WAY more important, yet all they seem to care about is making things unnecessarily difficult and completely different. Not to mention the UI changes are completely counter-intuitive and add MORE steps to get the simplest of things done. I cannot express how much I HATE what they have done and continue to do. My advice - avoid Intuit products at all costs. There are much better options out there, and even if they have a higher monthly cost, at least you will have stability and support for those products, unlike the offerings from this sham of a company.
No you are not a only one.
quickbooks new change is horrible horrible
I hate it.
If it were easy I would leave Quickbooks completely!! I hate this product!!
I hate this product! Mobile app no longer works for my needs. Im forced to use desktop, inconvenient and It’s frustrating!! I will be researching other products to make a switch. Its time!!
These changes absolutely suck. And don't tell users that their feelings "are valid". I had to spend time out of my work day to figure out how to add service dates back in to the invoices. We get calls and solicitations every day for practice software that could replace QB. Maybe it's time to give that some thought.
I wish I could upload the screenshot. I left feedback as instructed and I got an error message. How ridiculous
Hi there, @summitfoodsinc. I'd like to ensure we're on the same page so that I can provide you with the correct information or steps to answer your question.
May I know what specific assistance you need with uploading a screenshot? Also, what error message have you encountered within the QuickBooks program?
I'd appreciate any further details you can provide so I can help you. I'll be looking forward to your response.
I agree, I am truly annoyed that this step is changing. I found the invoicing to be perfect before. Why the change? What problem was being solved? The email is not being populated within the invoice and we are now having to re-work our invoicing procedures. I loved Quickbooks but if this change is not reversed, I am going to start the process of looking for a new software.
I would love to know what problem Quickbooks is trying to solve by changing the invoicing. This is a pretty vulnerable area to be changing for no reason. The look and feel of the new invoicing seems inferior to what we had. And the email is not being populated in the invoice anymore.
Do not like the latest changes. I feel like the updates are just to justify continued subscription cost hikes, but do little to improve the ease-of-use and only add time and frustration to features and functions the user has already spent hours and days learning. Quickbooks, just leave well enough alone and stop raising the price.
Opened my app today, and 75% of it is missing. All of my shortcuts, and now I don’t even have the ability to create and send estimates or invoices using the app.
I know the importance of accessing your transaction in the QuickBooks Mobile app, @Flhiatt
I'd like to understand your concern better. Could you let me know if you're using an Android or iOS device? This will help me check for any ongoing investigations related to your issue and the software you're using.
In the meantime, let's perform the basic troubleshooting to isolate if it's a mobile app-related issue.
For iOS
This will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.
For Android
If the issue persists, you can uninstall and reinstall the Online mobile application. Otherwise, you can create and send estimates in QBO using other supported browsers.
If you need further assistance, let me know in the comment section. I'll be here to help.
This new app update is HORRIBLE. Cant see past invoices. cant add an overpayment to current invoice so shows as credit. creating an invoice is just too many steps that we didnt have before. Juat bad this new update QB needs to do something about this asap. I always ran company via app 95%, now i cant do simple things and finding myself bringing out my laptop alot more often. Its really frustrating.
This is not the impression I want to leave you with, @jneto9508. I'm here to provide some clarification and details about the invoice feature in the new QuickBooks Online app interface.
First and foremost, I want to assure you that your feedback is invaluable to us, and we take it seriously. The recent update to the QBO mobile app was designed to enhance the overall user experience and provide a more streamlined invoicing process in the long run.
In the latest QuickBooks Online app update, you can still view your past invoices by accessing the Invoices menu. However, the new update only allows filtering the invoices by status and no longer supports filtering the invoice list by date.
I've included screenshots below for your reference:
You are correct that the updated QBO mobile app only allows for exact payment and does not support recording overpayment or partial payment. In the meantime, I recommend using the website to access your account and add an overpayment to the current invoice.
I understand that the transition has been challenging. However, for now, it would be most effective to communicate your feedback directly to our Product Developers. They are genuinely interested in hearing your input and highly encourage you to share your suggestions by providing feedback.
To send your input, here's how:
I'll share the link to our QuickBooks Blog so you can stay updated on the product's latest releases and updates: What’s new in QuickBooks.
Furthermore, I've attached some articles to help you manage your invoices and learn about the supported mobile app features of QuickBooks Online:
The QuickBooks Community is here to support you throughout this transition. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or concerns about managing invoices in QBO. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve the invoicing experience for all our customers.
A lot of options out there actually have a lower monthly cost and are more customizable.
One of the worst parts about this new invoice layout is that it is sooo slow. Every save, every click, every load takes four to five seconds to update the page where the old layout took only a second. And then, almost every change you make takes you back to the Quickbooks dashboard. Why?? We're not done working on the invoice, we just wanted to make a change but we're not finished looking at it.
Thankfully my teams were already convinced to migrate away from Quickbooks.
