Anyone having trouble with their recurring transactions not generating? I've been having trouble with some of my automatic invoices not generating for about 4 weeks now.

Hello there, @plow1.

 

As of now, we have an investigation (INV-49252) about being unable to create a recurring transaction that is being worked on by our engineers.

 

I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team via the Contact Us feature. This way, you'll be added to the list of the affected users. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Help icon and then select Contact Us.
  2. Enter a brief description of your concern in the dialogue box.
  3. Click Let's Talk.
  4. Select Get a callback.

 

Due to the pandemic, we have limited staffing and have reduced our support hours. To ensure that you'll be assisted on time, please check out our support hours.

 

In the meantime, let's recreate the recurring transaction and delete the old one. Doing so will help us have a new copy of the template. I'll guide you how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select All list.
  2. Choose Recurring Transactions.
  3. Find the template you want to recreate. 
  4. In the Action column, select Edit.
  5. Print or write down any details you'll need to recreate in the template.
  6. Once ready, return to the list of recurring templates and click New.
  7. Fill out the template and be sure to select Scheduled for type.
  8. Select Save template.

 

After that, we can now delete the old template. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select All list.
  2. Choose Recurring Transactions.
  3. Locate the template.
  4. Click the Edit drop-down menu under the Action column.
  5. Then, select Delete.
  6. Click on Yes.

 

You may also want to consider checking your schedule transactions in QuickBooks Online. This will help you monitor the transactions and add any that are missing.

When was INV-49252 opened? Any idea when the problem will be resolved?

 

I did contact customer care, and was added to the investigation. I was told I would receive e-mail updates on the progress, but thus far I have not received any correspondence.

 

Recurring transactions was a major factor in my decision to use quickbooks to replace my previous route management software. I am getting frustrated manually generating 50-70 invoices each week. Paying a monthly subscription for software that doesn't work is getting old.
