Once I click edit there is no email option. It only shows the invoice itself and options for scheduling it. It uses the email associated with that customer but again no option to add another email anywhere. I wonder if I can add a second email separated by comma under the customer itself?

The instruction shared by my colleague is only applicable to the same template and can't be copied if you want to create a new one.
To add a new email address that'll show in all your recurring invoice templates, we can enter it under the Customer profile. I'll show you how:
