Has the automatic CC invoicing option been added to QB Online yet? For example, of a customer pays with cash the total invoice is $1000, if they decide to pay with credit card the total invoice is $1000+CC fee. Is there a known date this will be added? Thanks.
Hi there, @chadnick.
Currently, Intuit Payments doesn't support automatic fees to be passed to your customer. This is outlined in the Merchant Agreement under Section 21, last bullet point.
Also, the Credit card fees are deducted on the payment deposits within 2 to 5 business days. To know more about the deposit times, you can check out this article: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.
I've added this article that may help you assess your transactions in QuickBooks with your bank statements: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. This also contains a sub-article on how to fix reconciliation if you'll get an error in the process.
You can always tag my name in the comment section below if you have other concerns or questions. I'd be happy to assist you further. Have a good one and take care always.
Will you be adding the credit card fee calculation on online payments anytime soon?
will the automatic credit card fee calculation be added to QB's Desktop anytime soon?
I'd be glad to help with your question about processing fees in QuickBooks Payments, jnellgreen.
As you may have read in the Merchant Agreement, automatically adding processing fees is not supported in QuickBooks Payments. This is because there are still a couple of states that do not allow charging customers of transaction fees.
Aside from that, there are also a couple of regulations and conditions that need to be complied with before charging fees to the customer.
Although, you can send feedback or a feature request about adding this feature in the future. Here's how:
