Budget numbers are inaccurate in report

My budget vs actual report doesn't show accurate budget numbers. For instance, my budget for my copier is 500.00 per month. The report shows my budget at 493.16. Why and how do I fix it?

Budget numbers are inaccurate in report

Hi there, @TheSound.

Welcome to the Community. Let me help you fix the budget report in QuickBooks Desktop.

Unusual behavior like inaccurate amounts in the report may be related to data damage. To verify, I recommend running the Verify and Rebuild Data utility to see if this the case.

Here's how:

  1. Go to File
  2. Select Utilities.
  3. Click on Verify.

After running the Verify tool, let's run the Rebuild tool to fix issues:

  1. Go to File again.
  2. Select Utilities.
  3. Click on Rebuild.

If the problem persists, please contact our QuickBooks Support Team. One of them will need to take over and provide further assistance fixing the report.

To reach out to them, please visit this article (scroll down to Contact QuickBooks Desktop for Mac): Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.

Additionally, I recommend visiting the following link to view the user guide specific for Mac users: QuickBooks Desktop Mac User's Guide.

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions about the reports in QuickBooks. I'll be happy to help you some more.
