Can I get a text when an estimate is accepted? Or how am I notified?

I can share a few insights regarding text notifications, @IPND.

Getting a text when an estimate is accepted is unavailable at this time. For now, I suggest checking your estimate in QuickBooks Online via a supported web browser like Google Chrome. From there, you can open the estimate and see if the email sent to your customer has been sent.

In addition, I also suggest checking your email to know if your customer replied and accepted the estimate. This way, you can update the estimate status and convert it to an invoice. Feel free to read this article for the detailed steps: Create and send estimates in QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, I find your idea as an opportunity to deliver great QuickBooks experience. That being said, I recommend sending feedback to our product developers. In this manner, they'll know how important it is to your business and a chance that they might add this functionality to the next updates.

Simply click the Gear icon on the top right and then select Feedback. Once finished, hit Next to send.

Feel free to comment if you have additional questions about knowing sales form status. I'm ready to help you anytime. More power to you and your business!

@IPND

What kind of business do you run? If you are running a service company, You can use a 3rd party app to automatically generate and send invoices when your clients accept estimates.

Can the acceptance by email be turned off?  I do not like this feature, as I need the customer to sign the estimate for acceptance.   I do not like this on the new update!

Welcome to the Community space, @rb8484.

I am here to provide some insights about turning off the acceptance of estimates via email in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Currently, turning off the acceptance feature of estimates is unavailable in QBO. The review and approve option will remain if you're using QBO Simple Start and QBO Essentials.

We value our customer's suggestions for product improvements. I recommend sending feedback to our product developers. This will give us an idea of how we may improve the functionality of QBO to meet user's needs and enhance the working experience.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear menu and then select Feedback.
  2. Type in your feature request in the description box.
  3. Once done, click on Next.

However, if you're using QBO Plus and Advanced you can still switch to the old estimate layout where there's no review and approve option when sending estimates.

Moreover, I'm adding this helpful article as your reference in creating personalized and professional-looking invoices, estimates, and sales receipts: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Come back to this post if you have other concerns or follow-up questions about turning off the review and approve option when sending estimates. I'll be here to lend a helping hand. Have a good one!
