I've got a couple of info and steps to ensure you can manage electronic signatures in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @AFC1.
Currently, QuickBooks Online doesn't have the E-signature feature. This is available on the mobile app and the QuickBooks Desktop version. Though, you can use e-signature when signing authorization forms (for payroll). For now, you can manually affix your signature or integrate a supported third-party app that's able to do this.
There are two ways to look for a third-party app. First is by going to the apps.intuit.website or navigating the Apps menu in your QBO account. Let me guide you how:
To keep up with the latest news and product enhancements, I recommend visiting our QuickBooks blog page. To know the newly added features, you can go to the What's New in QBO tab.
If you wish to control and maximize QBO features to your advantage, you can go to the Accounts and Settings page to modify them. For more tips, please review this article: Edit company settings.
I'm always around to help if you have more questions about managing your QBO account. Just click the Reply button so I can assist you further. Take care and have a good one.
You may consider a 3rd party app to do so.
e.g Should you need your client to approve your Estimate, you may utilize this app

QBO says there are no apps for electronic signature. I don't think that's true. What do others use?
I have another way on how you use the electronic signatures in QuickBooks Online, Mike2163.
If you want the capability to e-sign your invoices and estimates, you can do this on your phone or tablet when using the mobile app. The mobile app gives you touch-screen capability that is easier for you to perform or accept e-signature. However, if you're sending the email remotely, this option isn't available yet.
If you want to use a third-party app that you can integrate with QuickBooks, you may want to go to the App Center and search for one. You'll have the option to read the app's description and check out the reviews to better give you an idea of selecting the app that works best for you.
You can also refer to this article for more information: Use- E-signatures To Sign Authorization Forms. Also, take time to read these helpful articles so you'll be able to get ideas on the available features that you can enjoy in QuickBooks.

I need my clients to be able to approve estimates via electronic signature.
Hello @Mike2163,
Thank you for posting here in the Community. I'm here to provide some information about estimates in QuickBooks Online.
Currently, the option to approve estimates via e-signature is unavailable. As a workaround, you can integrate a supported third-party app that's able to do this.
There are two ways to find a third-party app. You can either go to the Intuit apps website or navigate the Apps menu in your QBO account.
Here's how:

Did you ever find a solution for e-signature for a client to approve an invoice?
Hi there,
Thanks for checking out the Community space. I'm here to share some updates about the e-signature feature.
For a fast and secure transaction, your customer can electronically sign their invoices and estimates on your phone or tablet using the QuickBooks Online mobile app. I'll show you how:
If you're using the web version in sending the invoices, this feature isn't yet available. For now, I recommend visiting our QuickBooks App Center to find a third-party application that allows approval of invoices via electronic signature. You may also follow these steps in searching the app inside the program:
Additionally, I've included an article that will help you design the invoices so your customers will recognize your brand: Customize sales forms.
Keep me posted if have any other concerns or QuickBooks-related questions. I'll always have your back.
Will QB be adding this feature soon with out paying for another 3rd party app? I feel it is pretty necessary in todays remote world. Also, from what I see, the demand is substantial.
@AFC1 were you ever able find an app that offers this? I've been spending considerable time researching the right solutions, but I would like to hear other peoples experience.
@KlentB is this something that QBO is considering adding to their platforms? In this day and age it should be standard on all platform. At least the option to integrate an app like Docusign directly without having to have a third party involved.
I recognize the importance of being able to add an electronic signature in QuickBooks, @DGB2021.
I'll share some ideas to get you back up again.
If you haven't found a third-party app, you may consider the idea of our Community backers, @Fiat Lux on what app is best to use.
Rest assured our engineers are considering these ideas. I'll also take note of this and relay this message to our team.
In the meantime, consider checking out our QuickBooks Blog for the recent updates and new features.
Meanwhile, I'll be adding this Community resource if you've got other QuickBooks concerns such as setting up payments, managing your income and expenses, running reports, etc. Please refer to this article for more details: Community help articles.
Please mention my name if you have anything else to ask. I'll be around to help you. Have a great Wednesday.
You may explore the app I mentioned earlier to let your clients sign your Estimates. We have to find yet any app to let clients sign the Invoices. Should you need to utilize DocuSign, you may explore the starter plan of this connector for free.

Hello,
Is there any update on using electronic signature within QB Online (specifically Plus) without 3. party app?
Also - I didn't find any relevant app for it. DocuSign is only for Advanced version and ONLY for Estimates, and we need it also for Invoices.
Thanks!
Monika
Hello, @Monika1983.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), an e-signature isn't available yet. However, we can use the QBO mobile app to accomplish the task.
Here's how:
For Android, we can follow these steps:
For iOS, perform the indicated steps:
Here's an article for more details: Capture signatures using the QuickBooks Online app.
Also, I've added this guide about how you can personalize your sales forms in QBO: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
For any inquiries regarding invoice management in QBO, please comment below. Stay safe!
You can use a free invoicing app to integrate with QBO. But you can't use QB Payment to accept the payments.
