Can QuickBooks help create an ACH payments file that I can then upload to our bank's system to process ACH payments to vendors?

No, QuickBooks doesn't generate ACH files that can be uploaded to a bank.  What you CAN do however, is since you have to process the ACH through your bank anyway, use your bank website to do the ACH then wait for the transaction to download into QuickBooks and assign the expense at that point or once you do the ACH on your banks website then create the expense transaction in QuickBooks and then match the download when it posts to the existing transaction.

There are third-party applications that can create an ACH file from QuickBooks.  For example, look on the Intuit Marketplace at https://desktop.apps.com/apps/136200#!overview.

I don't see ACH Universal in the Quickbooks app store.  Your link appears to be a third party site.  Am I missing something? This is the QB site https://apps.intuit.com/app/apps/home

There are third-party apps that can be sync from QuickBooks App center. While there are other apps that need to be integrated via the Apps website to QuickBooks. 

Since the Community page is a public space, I’d suggest contacting the  Customer Care team for ACH Universal. They have the tools to further assist you with creating an ACH file on a secured environment. 

Alternatively, you can look for a third-party app that offers similar feature via the QuickBooks Apps Center.

Here's how:

1. Visit: https://apps.intuit.com/app/apps/home.
2. Type in Nacha in the Search field.
3. Click the magnifying glass to search.

Thank you so much!  I was interested in ACH Universal but I couldn't get any feedback from QuickBooks about customers using their software.  I was directed to the Apps store for preferred vendors so I was hesitant about pursuing that vendor.

You'll want to consider using the Online Bill Pay, MG3000.

This lets you pay directly your bills through bank transfers from QuickBooks Online and pay Vendors/Contractors via (ACH) or paper check.

ACH Universal is located on both the QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online app stores.
