Join nowI use to be able to export to QB Desktop, but today I was reconciling my bank account and noticed a payment to UC was not in the check register. So I went to my Payroll Tax then to Tax Payment History. I see the UC I need to export, but it does not give me an option. Under Notes it doesn't say anything. I though before it would tell me here if it was exported or not, but I don't see any info about exporting. I go to Share and it only gives options for Exvel or a PDF. I've checked on 2 different computers and exporting isn't showing on either. (Is there any chance Intuit may be making a come back?? I sure do miss it!)
Thanks for the complete details you've provided above, @Bec2. With this, I can guide you on the actions you need to take care of your exporting concern using QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP) Core.
Based on the information above, I can tell that you've already set up your exporting preferences and exported some of your payroll data from QBOP Core to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
When the exporting option isn't accessible, this can sometimes be caused by the browser's overtime collection of data from frequent page visits. To isolate this matter, you can perform some troubleshooting steps.
You can start by pulling up your QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP) account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:
Once signed in, go back to the Payroll Tax menu and select the Tax Payment History option. If you're able to export the tax payment that you need, return to your default browser and clear its cache. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performances issue. However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.
When you're done, import your payroll data into QBDT. But before that, you'll need to update your account to its latest release and back up your company file. Then, follow the steps in this article to complete the process: Import data in QuickBooks Desktop.
In case the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our Payroll Care team. They can securely verify your account and further assist you in exporting your payroll data to QBDT. Here's how:
In line with this, I'm adding this article to help you get more familiar with the features of QBOP Core: See what you can get with QuickBooks Online Payroll Core.
Also, QuickBooks offers several payroll reports that you can pull up to access your business and employee information. To get started, see our Payroll reports page.
Feel free to comment below if you have other payroll concerns or exporting and importing inquiries. I'll gladly help. Take care and stay safe always.
