Greetings, @zhengzhi8.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community family. I'd be happy to help you adjust the decimal in the invoices in QuickBooks Online.
Let's change the number format in your account settings.
Here's how:
That also changes the dollar amount's format in other transactions and reports.
I've attached a screenshot for your reference.
That should do it. Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any other questions about adjusting the decimal in the invoices. I'll be happy to help you further.
Hello,
I'm not using USD as home currency, and I need to change the current format to 3 digit decimal.
I couldn't find this option, is there any other way ?
The number format option is available in all QBO versions, kalghanim.
You'll see this option even if the home currency is not USD. However, if your access to the company file is limited or view-only, you won't be able to change the number format.
Please know that QuickBooks Online does not have an option to change the decimal format to three digits. When you edit the number format, the changes will only take effect on how the numbers are displayed on the reports.
If you have additional questions, just let me know.

Let me take out your confusion, Savio.
You can adjust the decimal in invoices. However, three digits format is unavailable.
I'll include this video to help you with customizing your invoice: How to Customize Invoices and Sales Forms.

Greetings,
We are facing an unusual issue. We are in the printing business and just adopted QBO. When we input the value of the order, the quantity comes up with decimals running into 7 to 8 places. Ideally speaking if I am sending a fractional order out of the total order (eg if we are sending a quarter of the total order), it should tell me x.25, but what we are seeing is x.2500678. In the case of our format, we have chosen the format xxx,xxx.00
The issue comes up when we are printing Quotes, POs and Invoices for sending them to our customers.
Just need to understand what we are doing wrong.

Welcome to the Community, @SumitV.
As much as I would like to help you manage your invoices, I would appreciate it if you provide me with more information. You can attach a screenshot of how you set up the item. Does it have multiple digits? Or just 0.25?
Feel free to click the Reply button below to add more information. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.
I believe this is the issue the previous member is having, and I am as well. QBO will only allow us to enter invoice information as a dollar amount or a percentage, then it calculates the quantity. Choosing the number format in the gear icon's settings only updates how the dollars show on an invoice. It does not help me format the quantity column to a specific format or number of decimals.
I would prefer to enter the quantity and have QBO calculate the dollar amount. I am including screen shots from our timekeeping system and from the invoice screen for your reference.
I am having this problem as well. After entering the partial invoice dollar amount QBO calculates the quantity to eight decimal places. It is not necessary and it looks bad. What's the fix???
NOPE!!!!
