I have transactions that are coming through the banking feed and being posted to the Uncategorized Asset bucket. When trying to add them, I am getting a linked to liability account error. How do I add them and remove them from the Uncategorized Asset category?

You can use the Bank or Credit Card category to add the transaction into your bank account. Therefore, you can edit the account type of your bank account to add the transaction and remove it in the categorize asset account. Here's how:

If I edit the account information and connect "Uncategorized Assets" to banking or credit card, will that duplicate the checking or credit card accounts I already have? Right now I have 23 transactions under this bucket in QBO, can I transfer the record out to checking?

Changing the category won't duplicate the transaction.
You'll want to change the account category directly from the Expenses tab, here's how:

You can't change the type of this account because it is reserved for the Online Banking feature.

Changing the type of account might affect your books. While we're unable to do so, you'll want to create a new account and then edit necessary transactions that are to post on the account.
