Creating an inventory in Quickbooks using Amazon information?

I sell on Amazon and my own site, and I want to use Quickbooks to handle my accounting and inventory. As far as I can tell there is no way to get Amazon and Quickbooks to talk to each other directly, and I need a third party app. However, even with a bridge app, I have nearly 30 thousand listings on Amazon, and a clean copy of Quickbooks that I just installed. Is there any way I can use the information available from Amazon to create my item listings? Or when I get a sale for an item that does not exist in Quickbooks, have a new item created with the SKU from Amazon? Otherwise I would have to manually create an entry in Quickbooks for every item on Amazon by hand, and that would take weeks.

Welcome aboard to the QuickBooks Community, Joseph_MNTK.

I'm here to help import the item listings from Amazon to QuickBooks Online.

You have the ability to import products and services into QuickBooks using an Excel file. However, you'll need to make sure the lists per file doesn't exceed the limit of 1000 records.

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon.

2. Below Lists, click Products and Services.

3. Go to the Products and Services tab.

4. Click the drop-down arrow beside New.

5. Choose Import.

6. Click Download a sample file (guide for the format).

7. Upload the Excel file and click Next.

8. Map your data and click Next.

9. Click Import.

If it's more than the limit, you can split the lists and import them separately. You can follow the detailed steps in this article:

Import products and services

For any assistance you need with extracting the data, you'll need to reach out to the Amazon Customer Support.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any help concerning QuickBooks or importing data. I'll be around for you.

Creating an inventory in Quickbooks using Amazon information?

QBO is not the right place to track 30k unique inventory items.  I would just post monthly totals for sales, COGS and inventory to QBO from a dedicated inventory management system, and use QBO to track expenses and produce the P&L and balance sheet reports
