Getting your connection restored is my top priority, rgiarrat-hotmail.
There are certain errors that block QuickBooks Online from bringing in your latest transactions. If you happen to encounter one, please refer to the Step 4 section of this article to be guided in fixing the issue: What to do if you get a bank error.
To narrow down the reason for this issue, let's try logging into your Peoples United Bank's website to check if they have server issues or undergoing maintenance. This occasion temporarily stops the bank feeds in the program.
If everything is working on their end, we'll have to perform some basic troubleshooting procedures. There are times the accumulated cache becomes corrupted causing unusual behaviors in QBO. To get started, open your company through a private or incognito window. These are the shortcut keys:
Next, manually update your bank to refresh the connection. Here's how to do it:
If that works, go back to your regular browser and clear the site data to delete the junk data. Switching to other supported browsers can also help further isolate the problem.
With regards to the duplicates, we can use the Exclude feature to get rid of them and keep your books in order.
After you get the new entries, it's time to categorize and match them. Then, reconcile your accounts so they always match your statements.
Feel welcome to drop a comment below if you require further clarification or additional assistance in managing bank and credit card accounts. I'm looking forward to helping you out again.
Same issue. People's also just switched something within the business banking as I have to set-up a new People's bank account register. I really hate that because it creates a lot of additional unnecessary work in my opinion.
Not a fan of People's Bank and QB right now.
Hi there, @dso0216.
Before anything else, have you tried performing the steps given by my colleague above? If the issue persists, please contact your bank if there are any going maintenance on their end. If the bank is doing fine, I'd suggest connecting with our Support team. At times, QuickBooks will have behind the scenes glitches or errors that occur. Don't worry, they can take a further look at your account to see why this is happening to your program. Here's how:
Once you're all good, we suggest reconciling your account to keep your books accurate.
Let me know if you need further assistance. I'm more than willing to help. Take care.
You're missing the fact that Peoples was purchased by another bank thus they are no longer functioning and the system will never be able to be logged into again by anyone!
No One can log into Peoples bank or any bank once it has been purchased they close that connection!
The bank (Peoples) is not down for maintenance it got purchased by another Bank(M&T). So please explain what to do in an instance when a bank Peoples, is no longer able to be accessed at all because it no longer exists!
As I still need the info from before that account Peoples/ was purchased.
Thank You

Explore MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo) as a workaround.

Hi, rgiarrat.
I understand how it feels when you can no longer access your bank data.
Since M&T Bank buys your previous bank, I suggest contacting their phone support team. They're the best support that can guide you in gathering your financial statement.
From there, you can connect your bank account to QuickBooks Online. Once you link your accounts, transactions will download and categorize. All you have to do is approve them. Here's an article for connecting banks: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.
Then, to ensure your credit card and bank statement match your bank accounts, you can reconcile them.
You can post in the forum whenever you have concerns about managing your bank accounts.
