It would be a great option to include the Bill of Materials on cost reports for assembly items. While this isn't a feature in QuickBooks, I'll share this idea to our product engineers. I would also encourage you to do the same by sending a product suggestion from your company file.
- Click on the Help menu.
- Choose Send Feedback Online.
- Select Product Suggestion.
Feedback is really helpful; we've made improvements on QuickBooks based on users' feedback.
