Exportable Report Showing Purchase and Sales Default Bin Locations???

Hey there, @amyp.

The option to export a report that shows purchase and sales default bin locations is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop.

For now, you'll have to run separate reports for sales and purchases with inventory sites. Then, manually track the bin locations once you export them to Excel.

To track sales by site, run the Inventory Sales by site report. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu and select Sales
  2. Click Inventory Sales by Site.
  3. Select the Excel drop-down list, then choose Create New Worksheet.
  4. Click Export.

Once done, run the Purchases by Item Detail report to view purchases by site. Simply follow these steps:

  1. Go back to the Reports menu and click Purchases.
  2. Select Purchases by Item Detail.
  3. Click Customize report, then go to the Display section.
  4. Search for Inventory Site in the Columns search bar and mark it as check.
  5. Click OK and select the Excel drop-down list, then choose Create New Worksheet.
  6. Select Export.

After exporting the reports, you can now combine your data into the Excel worksheet and manually track its default bin locations.

I can see how this option would help you review your sales and purchases by bin locations. Therefore, I suggest sending feedback to our developers. They can review your suggestions and most likely incorporate them in future updates.

In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about your bin location management: Multiple Inventory Sites.

Lastly, I've got you this helpful article for ideas about the other ways you can utilize your inventory management: Set up and use the Warehouse Manager App.

If you need further assistance with any of the steps or have additional questions about exporting sales and purchases by bin locations, let me know by posting a comment below. I'll always be around to help.
