Good day, Ron13.
For now, when you export the expense transactions, you're unable to add the description field.
I suggest sending feedback. All information entered there will be reviewed by our engineering team and will be considered in future updates. You can do that by clicking the Gear icon, then choosing Feedback.
We're just a post away here in the Community if you have other questions.
Rather pointless to have a field and include it and you cannot use the full functionality of it.
I to would like to import expenses and be able to add a description however this is not possible due to the limitation you have with this. As I stated, rather pointless having a field that you cannot use properly.... or would you like to go manually enter 100s of descriptions each month. Defies the purpose of having import and export functionality
I understand you need to add a description, @OSDiving. Since this option is available in QuickBooks Online, I'll share the steps to submit feedback.
Providing us with feedback will help improve the QuickBooks feature.
Follow the steps below:
Your valuable feedback goes to our Product Development team to help improve your experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
Alternatively, we can get ideas for these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about importing data: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.
Please feel free to remark with your response. I'm excited to provide more information on importing and exporting-related matters. Have a great day.
