FAMLI Report for Colorado NOT there in Quickbooks!!

I fully agree with Seth!!  That was last April, so now that we are to be submitting our 3rd quarter please let me know if there is currently a csv file that can be downloaded from QB so we can upload to our state website for required reporting!!  We are in the same mess here because we have over 300 employees that have to be manually entered!!!  Please let your clients know how to download a file to report our FAMLI contributions.

FAMLI Report for Colorado NOT there in Quickbooks!!

Thanks for joining the thread,

Currently, there is no specific report available in QuickBooks that can be directly uploaded to the Colorado website for the FAMLI Act. I understand the importance of having this option when submitting your employee's data to the state. I will make a note of this to enhance your experience with QuickBooks.

In the meantime, I recommend running payroll reports within the program to gather the necessary data for uploading to the Colorado website for the FAMLI Act.

I also suggest providing feedback to our developers regarding this concern. They can review your request and potentially include it in future updates. Here's how you can send your suggestions:

  1. Click the Help option.
  2. Select the Send Feedback Online option.
  3. Click the Product Suggestion option. A pop-up window displays.
  4. Enter your feedback suggestion and select the Send Feedback button.

Additionally, you can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

Furthermore, you can customize payroll reports in QuickBooks to generate the specific data you need for your business.

If you have any other questions regarding payroll and taxes, please let me know. I'm here to help. Stay safe!

FAMLI has made it darn near impossible to upload reports. I tried to onboard people and the parameters of the CVS file headers makes ZERO sense. Either QB has to get the parameters outlined and solidified with the state OR the state needs to make it simpler (i.e. the W2 wage reporting upload filed with Colorado Department of Revenue).

@baraco  Posted this link to the file formats, which include the CSV format.

Are you saying it no longer works? Or, that creating it is difficult?

AGREED, ridiculous for the amount of money paid for "payroll" that Intuit cannot be up to date on required payroll reports.  Intuit also cannot handle the Washington CARES tax either.  Intuit is losing a lot of client base but not keeping up with payroll requirements.

This is completely unacceptable that we do not have a report still!  And also unacceptable that we do not have a csv file to upload to the state. It takes me days to enter the employee data by hand.  DAYS! My hands ache and I have to go get therapy afterwards.

I understand how crucial it is to have access to all the necessary payroll reports including the FAMLI report in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Payroll for Colorado, @melanieinskeep.

As of now, the report isn't available. In the meantime, I suggest working with an accountant or a payroll specialist familiar with FAMLI reporting requirements to generate payroll reports and manipulate the data in Excel to meet the requirements of the FAMLI submission format.

I also encourage submitting feedback to our product engineers, as it is crucial for the software to meet the needs of its users, especially when it comes to generating payroll reports. Here's how:

  1. Click the Help option.
  2. Select the Send Feedback Online option.
  3. Click the Product Suggestion option. A pop-up window displays.
  4. Enter your feedback suggestion and select the Send Feedback button.

Additionally, let me add this guide about exporting payroll reports outside of QBDT to generate further insights: Export reports as Excel workbooks in QuickBooks Desktop.

We're always here in the Community should you have further updates on generating the FAMLI Report for Colorado. We'll do our best to assist. Take care.

FAMLI Report for Colorado NOT there in Quickbooks!!

I'd love to say what I'm thinking about Intuit right now...

But, as of Q3, this format uploaded correctly to MyFamli+ Employer for the clients that I serve.

CO FAMLI .csv File Format (links to Google Drive location).

Be sure that the dates are formatted EXACTLY as shown in the example. Also, don't open this in Google Sheets, it won't show you how the formatting should be. Open in Excel, and when the window pops up, choose "Don't Convert." Hope this helps someone.

Now, if anyone can tell me where in the **** I can find the report in QB Desktop that generated that.csv in Q3, you will have my undying gratitude and I'll buy you a beer.

Thank you so much for the help!  I am positive it will make my life better... and I am not an accountant or a payroll specialist.  I am a bookkeeper who has ended up with the job of payroll, and is very uncomfortable with it.  But I do my best.  My clients have accountants, but it isn't me.

FAMLI Report for Colorado NOT there in Quickbooks!!

Hello, today is May 23 2024.

Do you know if Quickbooks FINALLY has that Colorado FAMLI report ready to export to excel so that I dont have to manually input it to the state website?

I'm tired of calling QuickBooks tech support to no avail. The amount they charge for payroll subscription $850 annually, you'd think they'd have this together by now. Colorado FAMLI was implemented on Jan 01 2023, here we are almost 18 months later, I called again yesterday, to no avail> this is not only frustrating, its infuriating

Hello Mark

What is your explanation for not being able to have Quickbooks generate the CSV report for Colorado Famli?

In Colorado both Famli and Colorado Unemployment upgraded their system where now all these reports need to be uploaded to their website. Famli was implemented in Jan 2023, here we are 18 months later and you team of technical engineers cant seem to get it done? For what you charge for payroll subscriptions, you can hire outside engineers to help with this task.

FAMLI Report for Colorado NOT there in Quickbooks!!

Thanks for getting involved with this thread, hAZZLE5154.

I can certainly understand how an ability to generate a FAMLI report for Colorado could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can also submit your own feature requests while using QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Help, Send Feedback Online, then Product Suggestion....

  2. Choose a Type of Feedback and Product Area (optional) from your available drop-down menus.

  3. Enter any suggestions/feedback in the Here is my suggestion: field.

  4. If you'd like, include your name/email in the My name is: (optional) and My e-mail address is: (optional) fields.

  5. Select Send Feedback.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

You also have the option of checking our QuickBooks Desktop Marketplace for apps which may be able to help you achieve what you're looking to accomplish.

As AlverMarkT recommended for a workaround, you can work with an accounting professional and/or payroll specialist to assist you with generating the specific FAMLI payroll report you're in need of. If you're in need of one, there's an awesome tool on our website called Find a ProAdvisor. All ProAdvisors listed there are QuickBooks-certified and able to provide helpful insights for driving your business's success.

I'd also recommend keeping an eye on our Understand reports article since it lists every available report in QuickBooks. If Intuit's Product Development Team ever creates a Colorado FAMLI report, it will be listed there.

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have an awesome Thursday!
