Using QB Desktop Pro 2020.

Is there a way to increase the font size permanently on my printed reports without having to 'Customize' every time I print a report?

Yes, there are two ways for this, @Janet32

You're on the right track in customizing the report to increase the font size.

First, you can memorize the report to save the current customization settings and print it directly. Here's how:

  1. Open your preferred report again.
  2. Customize it to increase the font size again.
  3. Select Memorize
  4. Enter the Name like "Profit & Loss Detail (With Increased Font Size)."
  5. Click OK

The screenshot below shows you the last three steps.

The second option is to change your report default settings.

  1. Go to the Edit menu at the top.
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Choose Reports & Graphs and click Company Preferences
  4. Increase the font size under the Format button.
  5. Click OK

Once done, there are three ways to access the memorized report when printing it.

  • Report Center
  • Memorized Report List
  • Reports menu

There is no need to memorize each report.

You can do this by changing your report default settings:

Change your defaults by starting on the QuickBooks menu at Edit | Preferences | Reports & Graphs | Company Preferences.  Then click the Format button to change the various fonts and other options, which will then become your default when you run most reports.
