I use gmail. In order to create forwarding rules, Gmail requires me to click a link or enter a confirmation code from my @qbodocs.com email. How do I confirm this email in my @qbodocs.com email?
Hello 28452730,
Before you can start forwarding or emailing your receipts to QuickBooks Online, you'll need to set up a customized email address within the program.
This should not ask any code when you send your receipts from Google to QBO. Please see the detailed steps in this article: Email receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.
Keep us posted if you still need further assistance. Additional details such as screenshots would be much appreciated. Have a great day!
I have created emails for my clients in qbodocs already. And I have set up forwarding rules my forwarding rules in Gmail. Gmail sent verification emails to my @qbodocs.com emails but I need to verify the emails sent to them
Thanks for getting back to us, @Chanmanx2k.
The customized email is use to receive receipts sent to your account. Thus, we're unable to access its inbox.
You can manually send them to your QuickBooks email instead. This way, it won't ask a passcode from you.
Once they're in QBO, you can match and categorize them to the correct accounts to prevent duplicate transactions.: How to match and categorize transactions in QBO?.
Please let me know if you have more questions about emailing receipts or anything else related to QuickBooks. I'm around in the Community to help you. Take care and stay safe always.
Gmail, the most popular email provider in the USA, requires it when setting up forwarding rules. Other receipt companies handle this by showing the email in the receipt inbox but un-processed. Since there is nothing to process.
Hello,
I have GSuite (pretty much gmail) and you can create rules but you cannot use create a rule to to filter and forward messages without authenticating first (sending a code from google to QBO email system) You pretty much need to manually forward each invoice individually.
Here is a picture of my Gmail/Gsuite. This is the page looking for verification to set forwarding rules.
A couple ways you could implement this.
1. Allow the email to show in our receipts inbox with the body. This way we can find the confirmation codes ourselves.
2. Have QBO learn what Gmail verification emails look like and auto confirm for us, or forward the confirmation email back to our original email.
