Getting copy of IRS form 1096 when using e-file

Good day, @FrostPond. I see the importance of accessing your 1096s.

Let me help you sort things out. Since you've e-filed your 1099s, form 1096 will be submitted as well.  This means you don't need to file Form 1096s.

You might want to check the filing status of your submitted 1099, you can click this link: 1099 E-File Service.

Know that, you'll only be required to file form 1096 if you didn't e-file your 1099s. You can print copies to mail to the federal and state governments, plus print and send a copy to your contractors.

Feel free to read this article for more details: Print your 1099 and 1096 forms.

I'm also adding this article to learn which taxes and tax forms Intuit handles for your business and how to view past filed forms:

If you have additional questions about 1096s or any related concerns, never hesitate to reply to this post. I'll be willing to lend a hand. Take care and have a blessed week!
