The browser's cache can be the reason why QuickBooks Online (QBO) is not responding when adding a category. To isolate this, I recommend accessing your QuickBooks using a private window.
Take these shortcut key below to open a new browser:
If it works fine, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This is stored for increased loading performance, but too much can accumulate and bog down processes. I'm including an article that goes over this in more depth and provides steps for supported browsers: Delete or Disable Cache and Temporary Internet Files in Your Web Browser.

I have the Same issue always when accessing through the app.. it does not do anything when i click accept to categorize

There are times when your QuickBooks Online app has a lot of data which may cause unusual behavior such as the program doesn't do anything when you click to accept categorize or add a category for an entry.
To fix this, I recommend resetting the QuickBooks Online App. This refreshes the data to ensure that adding categories will work. This will also help us clear out the stored files which impact and causes problems in the system.

If the same thing happens after performing the steps above, I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the QBO application. This is to ensure you get the most recent version of the application.

I have the same issue. I've tried accessing QuickBooks in an incognito window and the problem persists. I've also cleared the cache and cookies and the issue still persists.
Are there any other possible fixes?
