Would appreciate if someone can help shed some light on the reason why I am unable to see BALANCE SHEET BY CLASS under Reports section (but I can see P&L by Class report)

Currently, QuickBooks Online (QBO) does not support a Balance Sheet by Class report. This is because a Balance Sheet reflects account balances, such as assets, liabilities, and equity, which are tracked at the account level, not by class. Class tracking in QBO works best for categorizing transactions like income and expenses, which is why you can pull a Profit & Loss by Class report.
As a workaround, you can utilize the Transaction Detail by Account report. This report provides a clear view of transactional activity grouped by class for deeper analysis.
