ABSOLUTELY! I myself was trying to figure out how to do this in 2020 desktop pro and found this thread. Unbelievable that this BASIC accounting function AKA a calculator is not offered on the PRO version! It should be on the BASIC and ALL versions as this is a key accounting feature necessary when entering JE's. I'm honestly floored. What a money hungry company only giving that basic feature on the purchase of only the elite levels of the program. What a huge disconnect on their part and providing their customers with the essential means to perform basic accounting. You must pay for it. Ridiculous.
Hello there, @arosemuncowe.
I can certainly see how much of a difference it would make for business owners like you if we could add the totals of debit and credit at the bottom of the journal entry not just in QuickBooks Enterprise and Premiere but in QuickBooks Desktop Pro too. However, since it's currently unavailable, the best thing we can do right now is to send a request for this feature to be available to our Product Developers.
Here's how you can send feedback:
Periodically, our developers upgrade and roll out new features. I advise opening this link to check our product update blogs in order to stay current with our most recent news and updates.

We have premier version and I still can't see my totals! Very frustrating!
That was not a solution. Just a screenshot for folks who have it working. We need an actual helpful solution for a product we're paying a lot for.
I recognize you need to add totals for journal entries in QuickBooks Desktop Premier, phoundjo. I'll show you the way.
The functionality you referred to, which involves incorporating totals at the end of the journal entry, is currently accessible.
I'll share this sample illustration below:

It's accessible in Premier but not in Pro versions. Maybe if Intuit spent less time shoving subscriptions and online versions on everyone they might listen to clients.
@tampavaref Found the dreamer.
I know. Customer service. What a concept.
