Buy nowHow do I eliminate the "modern" view of the transaction drilldown report? I always want the classic view
I know a way how to switch the Transaction Drilldown report from modern to classic view, Djwine.
As QuickBooks generates new layout experiences for users while working on their reports, the option to revert to the classic view preference is available when running a specific report first before pulling up the Transaction Drilldown Report. You're unable to view the classic display preference if you're generating it directly from the Report's search bar section. With this, I've added screenshots for visual reference.
I've generated a Profit and Loss report and then viewed the Transaction Drilldown Report.
I've entered and pulled up the Transaction Drilldown Report directly from the search bar section of the Reports Center.
Furthermore, you can modify and add specific customizations to your reports to ensure detailed financial records are showing.
We're always available in this thread if you have additional questions when running transaction reports, Djwine. Please don't hesitate to leave them in the comments below. Keep safe and have a good one!
Thanks for the answer. However, What I am looking for is to permanently do away with the "modern" view. Maybe I am too old fashioned, but I never want to see the "modern" view.

Hello there, Djwine.
Thanks for getting back to us.
I can see how having the option to permanently remove the "modern view" and retain the "old view" for the reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO) would be helpful for you and your business.
We'd love to hear your input. I recommend leaving feedback to notify our engineers about the feature you need. This way, they can consider adding it in future updates.
Here's how to submit feedback:
You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
I'm also adding these articles about managing and customizing reports in QBO for future reference:
Please post again if you have additional questions about this or anything else. I'm more than willing to assist. Take care.
I have done that multiple times. No one listens to what we, the paying customers, want. The "modern" view is cluttered and clunky. All we want is a choice.
