Hi @ifoxfitness , please try open QBO in private mode, clear caches (click here)and history browsing or try open in different browser engine. Comment back, cheers.
Let's work together to get this fix, ifoxfitness.
Let me share some insights about getting your contractor's W-9. The invitation you sent to her expires after 24 hours. You'll want to re-send the invitation and make sure to inform her to sign in and enter the W-9 information.
To resend invitation:
Once done, confirm with your contractor if she's able to receive 1099 invites again.
You can also read through this article for more information about sending 1099 forms: Invite a contractor to add their own 1099 tax info.
If I can be of any additional assistance, please add a comment below.
If you can not get QBO to work properly, or the contractor is too busy to respond quickly enough, download the form W-9 and give it to the contractor to fill out. Then you keep it on file.
I am having the same issue, I sent the invitation for a contractor to fill out their W9 info today, a few hours later they click on the link and it says expired. Nothing on their profile on my end allows me to resend, it just says " We've requested personal details from [email address] If you don't hear back soon, contact them directly. On their end, quickbooks is telling them to contact me. How do we fix this? It shouldn't be expired in 4 hours.
Thanks for joining this conversation, @VanlineNathan.
I'll help you invite your contractors so they can add their own 1099 tax info into QuickBooks Online (QBO).
If they weren't able to open the link and their W-9 info isn't yet entered into QuickBooks, you can resend them an invite. Here's how:
Just in case, I'll add this article for future reference: Invite a contractor to add their own 1099 tax info.
I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you, so please let me know if you have any other issues or concerns. I'll be here to help. Have a good one!
There is no "send a reminder" option. I sent one to a contractor and she's trying to fill it out two days later, but is also getting the "this request timed out" message. In my account, it says I'm waiting on her to fill out the form, but there's no way to resend the link. I also can't add a new contractor with that same email address, since it has sent a request to that email.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, @rmey7.
I'm here to help make sure you can resend the email invite to your contractors to complete their details.
The option to send a reminder will only show if your contractor's personal information is incomplete or you haven't entered any. Since the option is no longer available, the personal details of your contractor may have been completed. Let's go and edit your contractor’s profile by following these steps:
If you get the same result after the steps, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further check on this matter and provide additional troubleshooting steps to resend the invitation to your contractors.
Once you're ready to prepare and file your Federal 1099s, you can check out this article for more guidance: Create and file 1099s using QuickBooks Online.
Please know that I'm just a reply away if you need any further assistance sending an email invitation to your contractors. Wishing you all the best, @rmey7.
