How do I make billable time consolidate to one line

Hi lpinto,

I'm happy to shed light on the billable hours on transactions.

The billable hours are broken down to service dates and service details to make them transparent to your customers. At the moment, we're unable to group them into a single line item.

I'll submit feedback on your behalf. That way, our engineers will be aware that you like this option on your transactions.

If there are other things that you'd like to see in your transaction forms, please don't hesitate to share them with us.

@lpinto

Refer to this article on how to customize invoices.

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/customize-forms/customize-invoices-estimates-and-s...

You may want to look into the Group activity by month/week and collapse activity rows feature in the Custom form styles. This will give one line on the invoice, not sure this will work for you.

How do I make billable time consolidate to one line

Here is the issue with some companies and why they need billable hours to condense down into one line, some customers don't understand how billable hours work and it causes confusion and conflict between the company and the customer.

They don't understand that they are not the only project being worked on. So, when they see billable hours for 3 different days, they think they are being triple billed. The customer doesn't understand that one portion of their project may have been worked on for 1 hour that day, then then another project was worked on, then another and so on.

QuickBooks needs to add a feature for companies that needs type of invoice customization.
