Bill in QuickBooks is for recording purposes on what was actually done outside. The system uses check as the default transaction mode of payment which's why it shows as Bill Payment (Check). If you want to send proof of your expense, you can manually view and print the bill payment by looking for the transactions in your vendors. 

1. Go to the Vendors tab.
2. Select the vendors who have the bill payment transactions.
3. Click the View/Edit dropdown in the bill payment section you want to print.
4. Choose the Print check in the toolbar.
5. Select the Preview and print button.
6. Hit Print.

Oct 2021...and still we wait.

QBO pays billions for mail chimp....while I pay QBO some $300 monthly and wait for essential proof of billing and payment documentation?  I gotta say, in all honesty, that kinda hurts...🤷🏼‍♂️.

This exact post was already stated. Maybe you guys need to take a look at your feedback and actually do something about it. This software is pathetic and should not be called an accounting software. Truly the worst mistake we have ever made. And all you keep hearing is "coming soon" or "use our feedback feature" for EVERY issue that comes up. Good luck everyone, as we have noticed that customer support only supports themselves, not the people that actually use the program.

And it's not January 2022 and we still can't do this. When will this be included in QBO. It's ridiculous.

2. Go to the Gear icon.
3. Choose Feedback, then enter your comments and product suggestions.
4. When you're done, click Next.

This is a really horrible oversight in programing. I liked the bill print in the desktop version. Makes it great when I have to create a bill for vendors who don't know how to invoice. 

Killing me with this 

Maybe in 5 years you'll add that feature! After forcing me to use QBO after years of happily using QBD, the most basic of features isn't even available. It's not enough that I was stonewalled into purchasing QBO in order to collect CC payments... but now I can't even create a PDF of bills to add to our CRM.

I'm glad I still have my QBD installed in my PC however now I have to input twice or constantly sync the software with QBO. What a garbage product. What other options are out there? Any suggestions? QBO stinks!

This need to be corrected.  

Not having a print option on this is like not having a print option on an invoice.

Hopefully this will get corrected.

You can print bill but you must go thru reports.  And it that case it does not show the class bill is charged to.

This should be an easy fix for this team

Is there anywhere that I can export the detail lines of a Bill?  If that can be done, then I can write a simple program in Excel that will create a PDF Bill that I can use.  Anyone know how to export detail lines?

Found a part of a solution.  I can get to the data by running a Transaction List with Splits.  At least it gives me the detail lines.  Not the bill date, but its a start.  Did a download and programatically created a PDF in Excel.

Clearly not like doing this.  Should be a button on the screen to print it.

I understand that running the Transaction List with Splits report doesn't provide all the line details of a bill. However, this is the best way to export the line details of your bill.

I can see that an export option on the Bill page is beneficial for you and your business. For now, I suggest submitting your feedback directly to our product engineers. They may look into this suggestion and consider adding the option in the future update. To send feedback, you can go to the Gear icon and select Feedback. Then, enter your suggestion and click Submit.

What software do you switch them too?  Inquiring minds want to know.

Now that QB 2019 is phasing out, you'll get a new wave of confused people, like myself, who wish to print a bill directly after paying it. It's incredibly useful for literal records, as well as providing customers information at request. 

In short, it sucks to be funneled into a loss of features.

This post is 2 years old and your users are still asking for a basic task like PRINT ?
I was forced to move to QB online so yes part of a new wave of users that get accustomed with the QB online.

It's clear to me that this is not an oversight but obviously intentional. 
I guess I will start researching for my alternatives and move my business to another cloud-based system. 
The overall feedback for about 2 years from QB moderators here is that you can go ahead and submit your feedback but bottom line is that no one would care anyway. 

To add on, I need to print copies of bills for auditors, but can't.

This isn't a optional feature to drop on your scrum team to prioritize, this is business-critical. What's worse is the button is in QBO to print bills in a batch...but the code to make it work was never added (or ported/modified from QBD).

Frustrating

Be nice to them. The ability to print something from a computer onto a piece of paper is a brand new technology! We can't expect them to figure it out right away!

This only prints totals.  Must still go into bill to look at each line item and can not print.

This is clearly an oversight by someone on QB Team.  Has been going on way too long and should be a priority fix.  Come on.  Been with  your firm 4 ever.  Get it together.
