Allow me to share some information on how to remove the ads appearing in QuickBooks Online, @bill132.
I know this can be frustrating for you. The ads in QuickBooks are outlined to guide and suggest to you how to optimize your QuickBooks Online experience. Since they're affecting your navigation experience, I suggest selecting the X or No, thanks button. This will block the pop-ups from showing up again.
You can also pass along the recommendations to our engineers so you're able to reach a point of resolution as quickly as possible. We share up-to-date happenings and future improvements on our blog. Through this, you're able to get the latest news about QuickBooks and what our Product Care Team is working on.

Hi, @bill132.
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about removing the ads issue you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
Please remove these stupid ads that now pop up every time I add a bill in QBO. Clicking X closes the overlay window, but then the very next bill I add, the same window pops up. You can't even interact with the dumb thing if you wanted to. I just have to click X to close it. This is OBNOXIOUS! Kindly remove these ads immediately. Very annoying!
These ads are relentless. No matter how many times I "x" out of them or work around them, they continue to reappear and it interferes with my productivity and concentration. The ads are not relevant to me and I have no interest in signing up for services that do not support my business needs. I pay a subscription to you use quickbooks and majority of the software is great, but the ads have gotten really out of hand over the last year. There should be a setting to limit targeting or to remove ads entirely. If there is a new product or service Quickbooks should relay that information through other marketing techniques and not through the software it self. The software is meant for accounting not ad marketing but over the last year it has become hard to tell the difference.
Good day, Selecting the X or No, thanks button, as you suggested, does not remove the ads. These ads are moving users away from QBO. When we select the X or No, thanks button that choice should be remembered by the system and these ads should not come back. It's a matter of respect. Thank you.
I aggree. These ads have more than made their points - thank you, but I don't need a loan, a credit card, banking - I don't need them today, I don't need them tomorrow, I don't expect to need them, no I don't need them at all... (my apologies to Dr Seuss)
I don't need any of these services please let us opt out and thank you for thinking of supporting my business. Just put a widget in a corner somewhere that says "QB Services" or something like that and remove this time-wasting badgering.
Hi there, @Mysticetus.
I understand how important it is to have a button to be able to disable QuickBooks Online Ads permanently. I recommend sending this to our Product Development Team. This way, they'll see your feature request and add it to the next product update. I'll be happy to input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:
Additionally, here's an article in case you'd like to create personalize sales forms to match it with your business in QBO: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
I'll be here in the Community space if you need help performing specific tasks in QuickBooks, @Mysticetus. Feel free to click the REPLY button below and mention my name. I'll be more than happy to assist you again. Take care, and have a good one!
Having the ability to turn on Intuit ads is not a feature! It is like saying that this new button feature will stop the beatings.
Quit directing every questions you guys do not want to deal with by pointing us to feedback to ask for a "feature".
I am actively looking for a replacement to QB as you have forced the prices up on your product then embed commercials into my daily workflow and push advertising out to my customers with embedded QB references in documentation I send out.
Many companies which think they have a lock on a market have been humbled after they use their positions to abuse their customers.
Think about it.
Dave
Totally agree with 'Many companies which think they have a lock on a market have been humbled after they use their positions to abuse their customers." and these ads are getting worse as AI is taking over.
Accountants and CPA's have to give SMBs owners options outside of this default vendor that they prefer - that for some reason is so untouchable.
I'm at the point of giving up with QBO - these ads are relentless and unacceptable. 1 more month and if not resolved i'm off.
Today's joke the transaction screen is telling me that Amex users might have difficulty linking to their QBO - I'm NOT an Amex user, why are you even showing me this ?
Honestly, at this juncture the behavior is plain disgusting. Once the dust settles on our current seasonal push I will start discussing other options with accountant. Research I did in late August surfaced a few promising ones I won't mention here in fear of having my post taken down.
It's not important to have a button to disable these ads. I don't need a button. I want the F****NG ads gone. Respect your customers.
Well, lets start off with the "solution". Wouldn't it make more sense for the "Product Development Team" to actually be the ones looking at some of these issues ? why put it back on the user to send them a message? Can't you do that? Based on the length of time that this issue has been kicked around, you would think that one of the employees that answer these post would do that for us, the paying customers.
To me it seems like some more of the same response that we normally see on here...
I came on to the community forum to see if there was a way to remove the ads, but there does not seem to be. The constant raising of prices by QB was getting to be a concern and the fact that I can't remove product ads tipped the scale to me actively looking for ways to move away from QB.
Any suggestions on what products are available along the lines of QB?
You might be able to find some relief from these annoying ads by:
Not 100% sure this is the solution we all want, but it's worth a try.
Click the X button to remove the ad.
Well just show it to you on the next page, and then the next one. Then we will change something small to the layout and show you all new ads.
How about the setup that doesn't go away because you don't want money faster, so your never fully setup.
I'm using an ad blocker on a product I'm paying for to actively block garbage they force in every place they can add it. Even unremovable items like the setup banner.
This is unacceptable. Your a garbage company, full of garbage people.
Click the X to not show this reply
I want to remove ALL the pop-ups ads. I pay for what I need and if I need more I will ask.
Please help me turn this annoying Intuit QuickBooks Online stuff off. It is so irritating that if I can't turn it off, I will go to another bookkeep product. How dare you use my paid account to bombarded me with marketing ads and feature stuff I do not want.
Maybe they can charge us for an upgrade to our account to remove these irritating, time-wasting ads?
Feature Request Intuit, are you listening?
