Thanks for joining us here, Melanie.
For now, we're unable to edit or customize the Purchase Order form in QuickBooks Online. Transaction forms that can be edited and customized are only limited to sales transactions. This includes invoice, estimates, and sales receipt.
We'll send a feature request about being able to remove these details when creating POs. Our engineers are always on the lookout for customers' feedback and suggestions. They review them and checked if they can be used in the future updates.
Visit us again in the Community if you need more help when creating transactions in QBO.
It is amazing that this is still a problem. I see threads on this topic going back to 2018. Good thing the price keeps going up
" Our engineers are always on the lookout for customers' feedback and suggestions. They review them and checked if they can be used in the future updates."
There is no way this is even remotely true given that this very significant problem for customers has not been addressed in the last 2 years, despite it being solvable in a less than 1 day, likely less than 1 hour.
We have the same issue and resent having to print out the PO to sign when we don't require signatures.
This has been requested by others for 2 years now. Please resolve this!
Hello, ASDsdAD. I appreciate you joining the discussion.
As JenoP mentioned, feedback has been submitted to Intuit's product development team. Please be aware that this is sent as a request. The Community can't guarantee that this feature will be implemented. When requests for features are provided to our engineers, they'll be considered in future updates.
Here's a couple resources which may come in handy:
If there's any other questions, I'll be here to help. Have a wonderful day!
First create a PDF once the purchase order is ready to print.
Then use Preview > Tools > Annotate > Rectangle
Slide the rectangle down to cover Approved by and Date area and then Save.
Ridiculous to have to do this every time. But on a Mac it works smoothly. Now in my seventies; can't wait years for a feature to be installed.
Has anyone had any luck finding out how to customize the purchase order? It’s frustrating…this definitely lacks compared to desktop on this.
Has anyone figured this out yet?
Thanks for asking us in this thread, @lenazerb. This concern has already been raised to our engineers.
While we are unable to provide a turnaround time for this, I'd recommend you personally submit a request so you can share more of what areas you want our program to be improved to serve you better.
Here's our QuickBookd Feedback from link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/commerce/common/fragments/feedback.jsp.
Feel free to as more questions about managing your purchase orders in QuickBooks. I'm always around to guide you more.
if this cant be remove then no point having PO with Quick books and better to downgrades, as we can send PO and every time sign and while no required is there a solution to remove this ?
Welcome to the QuickBooks family, @LOLO77.
I recognize the convenience of personalizing the Purchase Order according to your preference.
Removing the Approved By & Date lines from the bottom of a Purchase Order is still unavailable. I see that this option would help everyone in this thread. In the meantime, you'll want to share this idea with our Product Development Team. They will review and consider it for future updates depending on the number of users' requests. Please know that we're unable to provide a timeline for its implementation.
Here's how:

You can count on me if you have additional concerns about purchase orders. I'd be glad to help you further. Have a great day.
There have been an ABUNDANCE of threads asking for this simple customization option in the last 6 years.
I have zero confidence that the Quickbooks engineering team gives two hoots about adding features to benefit customers, let alone actively seeking feedback from Quickbooks customers...
The ability to remove two lines from the bottom of a PO template should be standard customization options. It's really sad to see the unresponsiveness of QB to fix this... especially considering the continual rise in QB pricing!
Thanks for this workaround option!
(It's so sad that QB still hasn't fixed this issue, as the workaround doesn't allow for full use of Quickbooks Online... providing actual value to customers appears to be of little concern to QB.)
