How do i resend a link to a contractor to setup their personal/w9 information? the link sent has expired.

You can go to the contractor's profile and resend the email from there. I'd be happy to walk you through the process.

1. In your QuickBooks Online, click Workers from the left dashboard, then select Contactors.
2. Choose the contractor from the list.
3. In the contractor's profile, click the Send a reminder link.
4. Click Send from the Send a reminder window to resend the email.

 but i do not see the 'send a reminder' link when i open the contractor entry.   i only see 'Write Check'  drop down on the top right corner.

Thank you for following the steps above. Though, you were unable to see the send a reminder in your end. Let's go ahead and perform troubleshooting steps to check if this is related to the web cache issue. 

Let's use a private browser, so we don't use the existing cache.

Here are the shortcut keys for private browser:

• Chrome: press CTRL + Shift + N
• Firefox/Internet Explorer: press CTRL + Shift + P
• Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 If it works fine, we need to go back to your original browser and clear the cache to speed up your system performance.   

Alternatively, if you continue to get the same result, I suggest using a different browser.

i tried both Chrome and IE as suggested, with same results.  attached is the screen shot. 

is this feature available to all QB subscribers?

Anything to do with my account setting that might prevent?

i searched the tool extensively before reaching out since this seems like it should be available (if you can send, you should be able to resend).... thanks again for your help.

Let me guide you through the steps on how to resend the email to your contractor.

Here's how: 

1. From the left panel, click Expenses.
2. Select Vendors, click the contractor's name.
3. Click Edit.
   
4. Remove Business ID No.(this can be either SSN or FEIN).
   
5.  Hit Save. This way, the system will be triggered to provide a new invite option.
6. Hover your mouse on Workers, then click Contractors.
   
   
7. Choose the contractor from the list.
8. Click Send a reminder window to resend the email.
9. Hit Send.

At first i thought i got further, but still didn't work.   No button to 'send a reminder'.  see attached.

I'm here to ensure your contractor can access the invitation to finish the W-9 information in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When we Send a reminder link will show when you've added a contractor recently and you haven't entered details in the contractor's profile. Also, this link will appear when you check the Email this contractor. Otherwise, this will remove the send reminder link to complete their profile information.

In addition, the Send email link will show when you didn't check the Email this contractor. Once you've filed the date in the contractor's profile, the link to send an email will follow.

Please note that if the contractor has clicked the email reminder the invitation will be unavailable because the invitation has been accepted. If they haven't completed the setup the ER will need to contact the contractor to finish the setup. Then, we can delete contractors and recreate them to send out the new invite.
