Good day, @bobandrobinsteve.
Thank you for visiting us today. I can help you assess monthly statement finance charges in QuickBooks Online.
There are two available options for charging your customers late fees or finance/service charges:
Here are the steps in creating an invoice for an additional charge:
Here are the steps in adding another line item to the existing invoice:
The corresponding feature of Memorized Transaction in Desktop is Recurring Transaction in QBO. Here is and article for you that has the steps and some reminders: Create templates for recurring transactions.
That should get you on the right track, bobandrobinsteve.

We need to apply monthly statement finance charges to our Online data! Where can we do this in mass to all statements like the desktop versions?
To answer your question, no you can not do that in QBO
Automatic finance charges is in beta. Some people have it - have asked questions here about how to use it, but not sure how they got it
One of my clients had the BETA of this option, to automatically assess finance charges. While the finance charges DID access automatically it caused them to loose the attachments linked to the invoice as well as the Class they had assigned it to. Since they are a paperless company this is not satisfactory. They had to open every invoice, find and reattach the supporting documents (by going to the attachments page) and reassign the class. Definitely NOT worth the automatic finance charge function.
Intuit is trying but, so far, this is a big negative that needs to be addressed.
Hello there, @skynarbooks.
I'd like to take this opportunity to share some details on the different features available on QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
These are two different QuickBooks version under two different platforms. If there are features in QuickBooks Desktop that you want to use in QuickBooks Online, you can visit our QuickBooks App Store. There are several supported third-party apps that will boost the current features of QuickBooks Online.
To visit QuickBooks Online’s app center, here’s how:
This Help article will provide more detailed instructions: Apps that work with QuickBooks.
On the other hand, to see what's in store for QuickBooks product features, be sure to keep an eye on our blog for announcements: https://intuit.me/2L2zqTv.
If there are app tools you want to get more familiar with, our Community articles will come in handy: QuickBooks Community Help Articles.
Always feel free to leave a post below if you have other questions on how QuickBooks Online works. I'm always here to answer your inquiries.
Add this. If someone is asking, you know there are many many others that want this feature as well.
This seems like a very tedious and time consuming process. Also, why would we have to pay for an app to "assist" us with this when we are already paying for Quickbook's services?
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
