You'll need to sign-up for a new QBO account to create another company. One company file is equivalent to one subscription. Here's how to add a new company subscription:
- Go to https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/.
- Click on the slider or radio button to choose between Free trial or Buy now & save 50% for the product you want to use.
- Select Continue, then hit Sign in beside "Already have an account?"
- Sign in with your previous or current user ID and password for other company subscriptions.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to set up a new subscription under your existing login.
Take note that we're unable to directly copy the entire data to the newly created company. Although, you can move the lists and invoices from your previous file so you don't have to start from scratch.
For the other data and transactions, you'll have to manually reenter them or use the third-party importing tool. You can visit our QuickBooks App Market or go to the Apps menu within your QBO account to find one. I'll show you how:
- Log in to your QuickBooks account.
- Select Apps from the sidebar menu.
- Go to the Find Apps tab.
- Enter a keyword in the search bar or click the Browse Category button to filter the results.
