How long do I have to wait for bank statements to show up? I keep getting this: Your statements haven't come in yet, but we're working on it. Check back in a few days.

I have verified that my bank is on the list for this to work. I have tried asking support but the person I chatted with had no idea what I was talking about. It has been almost 30 days since we connected to the bank through quickbooks online.

Hi, office-mountainc.

 

The system automatically download your latest transactions. In the event that it won't bring up the items, we can try to update the connection between your bank and QuickBooks to refresh its settings.

 

We can do this by going to the Banking tab and then selecting Banking. Then, click the Update button.

 

If the same thing happens, I'd recommend reaching out to our Phone Support team so we can investigate the root cause of this issue.

 

Also, can you tell me the name of your financial institution so I can check on my end for any ongoing investigation about this matter.

 

Once everything's fine, you can categorize the transactions. Here's an article as your guide: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I do not believe you understood my question.   I am not asking about TRANSACTIONS.  I am asking about the Monthly Bank STATEMENTS.  There is no connection issue with my bank, I receive the daily transaction without a problem.  I am very frustrated as to why can I not find someone that can help with this problem?  I have included the message statement from Quickbooks that shows on the screen where it should have a drop down menu allowing me to select which monthly statement I want to reconcile. It has been over 30 days now and I still can't get any help.

To verify, did you receive that message when trying to reconcile an account? If so, I've got some troubleshooting steps to help get rid of the error message. 

 

 

 Try opening your account using a private window to see if this has something to do with the browser issue. You can use any of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you can reconcile an account without getting the message, I suggest clearing your main browser's cache. There are times that your browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, causing QuickBooks Online (QBO) to act strange. Otherwise, use another supported browser as an alternative.

 

If it's not from reconciling an account, can you please let me know what actions are you performing in QuickBooks when this error occurs? An what's the name of your bank? Any additional details you can provide me will help to ensure a timely solution.

I still don't think you are understanding the issue.  The first tech support person already had me clear my history, cache, and cookies.  They also had me try another browser.  None of these made any difference.  I have included 2 screen shots.  One is from QuickBooks that shows what it is support to look like when it is working properly and the other is from our account and shows the message I've shared circled in red.   2. Click the Help (?) menu.

I appreciate your wanting to help me however I have contacted support and done what they ask me to do to escalate the issue.  That was 3 days ago and I have heard nothing back.  That fact that I can't simply call support is very unreasonable.  I can't just sit around all day and wait for them to call me back at their convenience.  I am very disappointed in the support for quickbooks.

I can see the importance of getting this issue fixed right away.

 

Currently, there's an ongoing issue with this error "Chase Your statements haven't come in yet, but we're working on it. Check back in a few days". QuickBooks engineers are now working on a permanent fix.

 

For now, I recommend getting in touch with our QuickBooks Online Support Team so that they'll add you as one of the affected users. To contact us:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (question mark icon) at the top right.
  3. Select Contact us to connect with a live support agent.

 

While we're working on this, you'll want to manually download bank statements from your bank website.

No this problem never did get resolved and I did reach out to support.  It was a useless effort as they have no idea what I am talking about and when they created a ticket nothing happened but them sending me an email that the problem was fixed. Well NO it wasn't fixed. Sadly, Quickbook's support is a joke.

So I can not reconcile my checking account because my bank is giving me this error and when I try to manually reconcile it wont show me any transactions.

Hi... it is not intuitive and frustrating for sure, but I figured out the answer to the problem...  You need to put in the statement information--  the ending balance and the end of the statement date going back to the statement that had a 0 balanceCapture.PNG... then reconcile just that month... and then it will allow you to put in the next month's statement ending balance and the statement end date.  Hope that helps.

Did anyone figure out why this happens? This is happening on my clients' books and I'm not sure why. The last statement that QB uploaded from their bank's site was the June, 2023 statement. I thought with the holiday of July 4th, it was taking a little longer because banks were off for the holiday. Then the same error has displayed every month since. I have attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing. Help! Anyone?!

The system automatically downloads the latest bank statements. However, this process relies on your client's bank when they will send and make the bank statement available in QuickBooks. 
 

To ensure that your latest statements are downloaded promptly, I recommend contacting your bank directly and inquiring about the status of the statement's availability. 

 

Try inputting the statement information, like the ending balance and the end of the statement date. If the same happens, we can perform the basic troubleshooting steps below if you have confirmed that the statements should already be available in our program. 
 

Access your QBO account in a private browser. Using a private browser window can help determine if the problem you're experiencing in QuickBooks is due to your browser settings or extensions. 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

 

You can also use another browser. Here are the lists of our supported browsers:

 

  • Google Chrome: version 78 or newer
  • Mozilla Firefox: version 76 or newer. 
  • Microsoft Edge: version 79 or newer
  • Safari: version 12 or newer (Mac only)
  • Opera: version 68 or newer

None of these options are working.  I have this problem every month.  My bank online (TD Canada Trust) has the statements available on January 4th.  Today is January 10th and QBO is still telling me that the statement is not available.  

Each month it seems that the statements only become available about 3 weeks after I can view them from my bank.  

 

What is causing the delay between QBO and the bank?

No, this issue has NEVER been resolved.  I've given up it isn't worth the stress of dealing with Quickbooks about it.

I am having this exact same issue. Obviously the connection to the bank is working because as checks clear and other checks get deposited they pop up as transactions. But the last statement that came in was October. It is now January. They want me to "check back". I can't reconcile without the statement. If anyone figures out what to do, please let me know.

I'd like to join and share some information about syncing your bank statements to QuickBooks.

 

There are several factors on why the bank feeds stopped downloading the bank statements. The bank might still be on the process of updating their third-party integration services. If you haven't done it yet with our support, you'll want to contact their support channels. You can ask them and see if there's an issue regarding their feed connection. 

 

You also have the option to manually import their bank transactions into QuickBooks. If you need to take book their transactions as soon as possible, you'll want to follow the steps outlined in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

 

You can begin categorizing the uploaded transactions for your records. Once completed, you can initiate your standard reconciliation process.
