How to correct insufficient funds from customer?

You can record Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) or bounced checks in QuickBooks Online, @kbalderson.

There are three methods on how record this kind of transaction in QBO. Here are those:

You can also apply these methods if the check received from a customer is using Accounts Receivable for a transaction. For example:

  • A check entered as a payment through Receive Payment.
  • A check recorded as a Deposit entered on an invoice.
  • A check entered as a Bank Deposit posted to Accounts Receivable.

Please know that our doors are always open to help you with any QuickBooks-related concern.
