How to export Quickbooks Business to TurboTax?

I own a small single-member LLC and am wondering how I would transfer everything Ive been doing in Quickbooks such as Expenses and 1099s over to my Turbotax. Because Im a single-member LLC my company taxes basically coincide with my personal, so it gets a bit confusing for me.

How to export Quickbooks Business to TurboTax?

Thanks for reaching out to us here today, @naroth audio.

I have some information about converting QuickBooks Online (QBO) to TurboTax. The ability to directly export and import data from QBO to TurboTax is unavailable. You have to export your QBO file to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). From there, convert QBDT to TurboTax. Let me guide you how.

First, download a trial version of QuickBooks Desktop.

Next, export and convert your QBO data to QBDT.

Lastly, follow the steps below to transfer your QuickBooks data into TurboTax:

  1. From the TurboTax File menu, select Import, then tap From Accounting Software.
  2. Choose QuickBooks (2020) and click Continue.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions that'll guide you through the rest.

For details about importing files, check out this article: How do I import QuickBooks data into TurboTax Business?

Feel free to also visit our website to get answers to common TurboTax questions and guidelines. Here's the link: TurboTax Support.

I'll be around if you have follow-up questions and concerns about exporting files, so don't hesitate to reply. Take care and have a wonderful day ahead.
