With it being a couple of weeks, the transactions should start automatically attach themselves to the correct categories but, because it isn't, I want to provide you some troubleshooting steps such as Clearing Cache and Cookies.
What is Cache? When a device visits a website or uses an app, specific data stores in the form of a cache in the device memory. Next time you go to that site, it is easier to access it because of the cached data. Cached data was stored when the website was visited the first time. Cache data speeds up the page loading.
What are Cookies? Cookies are small files that save on a user's computer. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific to a particular client and website and can be accessed either by the web server or the client computer. Cookies used by the websites you log into, even to view.

Thanks for the suggestion. I cleared cache & cookies when this issue started without success. I spoke with folks at Quickbooks technical support yesterday and today. I got some conflicting information. The representatives did not know why the program was reacting the way it was. The representative today said that Quickbooks was moving away from the automated category recognition and I needed to create a rule instead. He said that he did not know why the program still offered to remember my changes. He thought that feature would be disappearing soon. If this is true, it is disappointing.
