The annual subscription invoice is scheduled to be sent in September, but the customer would like the invoice today to start the payment approval process. I would like to open the recurring invoice template and have QB generate the invoice today.
Is this possible? Or do I have to manually create a standard invoice, send that separate invoice, and then update the recurring invoice template to send next year? (skip this year)
Solved! Go to Solution.
You got it right, @sendow.
Selecting the Use option from the drop-down menu will generate your recurring invoice. To learn more about how recurring transactions work in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can refer to this link for reference: How to create a recurring invoice and manage recurring transactions.
Let me also add this article that can guide you on how to personalize your invoice and control what information your customer sees: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
You can always post a reply in this thread if you have other questions about managing your recurring transactions. I’m just a few clicks away.
