There are several troubleshooting steps we can perform so you can send your invoices through your email successfully.

 

To start with, let make sure that the latest version of your QuickBooks Desktop is installed. Most unexpected performance of certain software can be resolved by installing the latest updates.

 

To do so:

  1. Go to Help, then select Update QickBooks Desktop. 0000.PNG
  2. Under Overview, select Update Now
  3. Click Get Updates.001.PNG

On the other hand, you may also consider updating your Microsoft Outlook app. Here's how:

  1. Open your Microsoft Outlook app.
  2. Go to File.
  3. Under Office Account, select Update Options.
  4. Click Update Now.

Since you've already updated your QuickBooks software to the latest release, let's check the web mail's setting in the Preferences to sort it out and get you back to working order.

 

Before we proceed, may I know what email service provider you're using? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

 

Here's how to check the web mail settings:

 

  1. Go to the Edit menu, then select Preferences.
  2. Click Send Forms from the left panel.
  3. Under the My Preferences tab, select the email account you're using.
  4. Choose Edit.
  5. Mark the SSL box, or just select Default.
  6. In the Server Name field, make sure the server name matches your email provider's settings.

Once done, go back and try to send invoices via email again to double-check.

Since your file displays the correct setup, it would be best to contact our Phone Support team. They'll be able to take a look at your program and they can verify this matter. Here's how to contact them:

 

  1. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help from the Help menu.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter I'm unable to send invoices as your keyword.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. From there, you can Start messaging or Get a callback.
