I have inactive one product by mistake from inventory list. How can I get it back?

Hi there, @haneeshbacker,

Thanks for posting here in the Community. Let's activate your inventory list on the Product and Services page. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu on the left panel.
  2. Select the Product and Services tab.
  3. Choose the Inactive on the Funnel icon drop-down list.
  4. Click the Apply button.

Once done, all your inactive inventory will display. Locate the ones that you want to make inactivate, then select the Make active under the Action column.

Check the screenshot below for your visual guide.

I have inactive one product by mistake from inventory list. How can I get it back?

@haneeshbacker

I hope it's with zero Quantity on Hand. If you've made inventory product inactive with Quantity on Hand, it has also created Inventory Quantity Adjustment entry as well. So, if you want this back, first you will need to make product item active (as per instruction by @katherinejoyceO ) and then you will need to delete Inventory Quantity Adjustment entry. This is to get back the quantity on stock w/dollar value again. To do this: Click "+ New" icon > Other > Inventory qty adjustment. Once the form is open, locate Recent transactions, click the Clock icon at the top left corner and find one you've deleted. Delete entry button is at the bottom of the form. See the screenshot below for reference.

I have inactive one product by mistake from inventory list. How can I get it back?

When I try to delete the previous  inventory adjustment, I get the following message:

Something's not quite right
Looks like you forgot something! You have to add at least one inventory item to the transaction before saving it.

I do not have anything to add - I just want to delete the prior erroneous inventory adjustment.  Help!

Thanks!

I've checked our records and haven't seen any open cases similar to yours, Bayheadneedlepoint.

The unexpected behavior can be caused by too much cache. We'll perform the basic troubleshooting to fix your issue. Let's start with logging into your account through a private browser. It's the best place to identify web issues. Here are the shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you can delete the inventory adjustment successfully using the private browsing session, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache to refresh the program. It's advisable to delete them now and then to prevent and fix issues like this.

In addition, you can use a different browser to narrow down the issue.
