I have tried to cancel every month for the last several months. It either doesn't load or shows as canceled, but still bills every month.

I understand that every penny counts, @brittkovacsfitne. With this, I've got the steps you can perform to cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account. Also, I'll make sure you'll get the right support to review your subscription charges.

There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed web pages. It may cause unusual behavior in QBSE. That's why the system doesn't load when canceling your account for the last several months.

To help fix this, I'd first suggest signing in to your QBSE account via an incognito mode. It doesn't store data in the cache. Thus, it's a great way to isolate browser-related issues. If you're using Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press CTRL + Shift + P on your keyboard. For Safari, hit Command + Shift + N. Press CTRL + Shift + N if you're using Google Chrome.

Once logged in, cancel your account again. Please know that we retain the data within one year. If it works, let's go back to your main browser. Then, clear its cache to remove the stored cache on the browser. That way, it will boost its performance. Otherwise, you can use a different browser.

However, if the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They can securely pull up your account and determine why you're unable to cancel it. They can also review your billing charges every month. From there, you can discuss with them about your refund request. Please check out our support hours before getting in touch with them. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact us
  3. Enter Unable to cancel the QBSE account for the last several months and review my billing charges monthly in the Ask a question (or tell us what's wrong) box.
  4. Hit Continue
  5. Choose a way to connect with a live support agent.

In case you need the program in the future, you can resubscribe it. As soon as you sign in to your QBSE account, you'll be prompted to reactivate it. But if there isn't a prompt, let's go to the Billing Info page to complete this task. For the detailed steps, visit this article: How To Resubscribe To QBSE

You can count me in if there's anything else you need. Keep safe always, @brittkovacsfitne.
