Hello, @bobbymc.
Let me share some alternative solutions to help you create invoices from billable time and expenses.
To identify if the issue is related to your browser, we suggest performing some troubleshooting steps. Sometimes, older or corrupted caching files can cause problems in your web browser. To begin, please open an incognito window on your QBO account. Depending on your browser type, you may refer to the keyboard shortcuts provided below:
When this works, you may proceed to clear the browser's cache. This removes its stored cache to ensure the program performs efficiently. I recommend using another supported browser or device if you still encounter the same error.
For future reference, if you need help with the save function or magnifying glass, please refer to these articles.

Same problem here, hoping INV-97951 is cleared soon.
Hi there, @mdobry.
Currently, we have an ongoing investigation (INV-97951) about being unable to convert Billable Time to an invoice from within the Project Tab. Rest assured that our engineers are doing their best to fix it as soon as possible.
I understand the importance of converting Time Activity to Invoice on New Invoice Layout in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As a workaround, I suggest adding the time to the invoice from the +New instead of in the Projects Tab.
For now, it is best to contact our QuickBooks Online Support Team so they can include you in the list of affected users. This way, you will receive an email notification as soon as any solution is available.
Here's how:
You can contact us from Mondays to Fridays, 6 AM to 6 PM PT, and Saturdays, 6 AM to 3 PM PT.

Thank you for your patience regarding the issue of converting billable time entries to invoices within the project tab. Our team of engineers is working diligently to find the best solution to this problem. If you have any further concerns, please feel free to leave a comment below, and I will do my best to address them.
Same here. Definitely needs to be resolved soon!
It was working fine before the new invoice format. Can we at least revert to the previous format/system? I never experienced a problem until Sunday.
Same for me. Small business, I need to get billable time invoiced as I paid my employees
Quick update to the post. Although I'm still getting the error. If I manually create an invoice, I can select a customer and add billable line items manually. Not ideal, but it gets invoices out the door!
I did finally get it sent through the "sales" tab, but it was a pain as again, you had to add time one entry at a time instead of a group. Please fix!!!!
