I have another way to change your invoice without deleting and redoing it.
We can open your invoice, then edit it to add or remove line items or other details. Although, once an invoice is created from an estimate, we can only edit or delete either of them.
To open and edit your invoice:
If you edit the linked invoice, it will still link to the estimate where it was converted from. You also have the option to edit the estimate and match it with the details of the existing invoice. You can go to the All Sales tab in the Sales page, then find and select the estimate.
After everything is set up correctly, you can send an estimate or an invoice to your customer's email. Simply open either transaction, then click on Save and send. If you don't see it, you can click on the arrow inside the button.
When your customer pays the invoice, simply open it again then click on Receive payment.

I have tried to edit the quantity of an invoice after it was converted from an estimate. I can't get it to let me edit. Do I have to create a new line or am I missing something?
You should be able to edit it, @DeniseP66.
You'll have to click Yes on the pop-up message so you can edit the quantity of an item in your invoice converted from an estimate.
