Let's open the customer profile and delete the credits from there to remove the entry. By doing this process, the transaction won't appear when you reconcile your books in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
I'm glad to show you how:
- Go to Sales from the left navigation bar, then choose Customers.
- Open the customer profile, then to go the Transaction List tab.
- Locate and open the credit.
- Click More, then choose Delete.
If you don't want to delete the credit, you can use and apply it to the existing invoice of the customer. The following steps below will guide you through:
- Click + New.
- Select Receive payment.
- Complete these fields as follows:
- Customer
- Date
- Memo (optional)
- Under Credits, mark the Credit memo.
- Verify that the total to pay (if any) is correct after applying the credit.
- Select Save and close.
