I want to remove credit card option from future invoices without closing Merchant account for previously issued invoices. Help appreciated

To disable the online payment option added to invoices you can edit your preferences in QuickBooks.

Here's how: 

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks file as single user, Admin role.
2. From the main menu, click Edit.
3. Select Preferences.
4. Click on Payments.
5. Click on Company Preferences.
6. Remove tick mark from Credit Card and Bank Transfer (ACH) options.
7. Click OK to save settings.

These steps will remove the online pay option from future invoices.

I am using QB Desktop 2019

I have the same question... I have followed each of these steps and have unchecked BOTH of these options....

Unfortunately when I send a TEST invoice to myself ... I still see the option to pay using a credit card or bank transfer... (exactly what I unchecked).... 

WHY.....

I want to REMOVE this option completely

When I make a new invoice... I can UNCHECK the option to pay by credit card at the lower left of each invoice... but that takes 6 mouse clicks... to get it done... AND... needs to be done for EVERY invoice... certainly not very efficient.

Can someone HELP...
