Yes, you can disconnect the app and return back to manual bill payment, sgillett.
I'd be glad to share these steps with you:
Also, don't forget to reach out to Melio if you will be cancelling your subscription with them. Disconnecting the app only removes the connection from your QBO account. Go to this link to get their contact details: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/appdetails/melio/en-us/.

Hi sgillett,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about removing Melio payments? Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
I have exactly the same problem. Anyone got a suggestion? This is quiet a common issue Emory Patient Portal
What kind of problem did you encounter? You should be able to disable the Bill Payment feature and open a separate Melio account for free to integrate with QBO.

Hi there, @Ayala748.
Allow me to clarify things and help with your Melio payments issues.
Are you referring to the terms of service for Melio payments? If so, I recommend contacting the Melio customer service team to verify the withheld funds.
However, if you want to remove Melio from your QuickBooks, you can follow the steps provided by my peer JenoP above.
As always, you can visit our QuickBooks Community help website if you need tips and related articles in the future.
Please feel free to leave a comment below if you're referring to something else or if you have any other questions. Have a good day.
Once you disconnect from Melio, how can you verify if a check was cashed or void a check that was issued through Melio?
I can share some information about the checks that you issued after disconnecting Melio from your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, @tgibbon3
You can go to your Melio account to get the Nacha (National Automated Clearinghouse Association) trace number. You can use that to track and find the payment. If you need further guidance on how to find your Nacha trace number, I recommend reaching out to the Melio customer service team.
For more information about tracking your bills and recording payments in QBO, check out this article: Enter bills and record bill payments in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know in the Reply section if you have further questions about QBO. I'm always here to help. Have a great rest of the day!
I followed these steps and the Melio app is no longer showing up in the App section of QB. However, when I go to schedule an online payment - in the hopes of connecting now to the new QB bill pay option - it still says I'm using Melio. This is very frustrating. We only wanted to check out Melio, never used their services, but now we can't get rid of the connection in QB. What is the real solution?
I want to make sure this gets fixed as soon as possible, @bcourtney.

Did anyone figure this out? I have been through online chat support, QB phone support, Melio Support. No luck, super unprofessional.
As I know, they are in the process of replacing the Billpay feature powered by Melio to QB Billpay.
I am having the same problem not being able to get rid of Melio payments after the app has been deactivated. Anyone have a solution. QB support can't help, Melio is a joke to get ahold of them. I turned off the sync also in Melio and it still tries to pay thru Melio. Anyone out there that knows the answer?

As far as I know, this issue is still ongoing and it seems like they are having trouble fixing it. You can signup for a free Melio account to integrate with QBO as the workaround.
