You can create a reminder before this bill is due, Brandon4.

When creating a bill, you can use the reminder template to get an alert in QBO when the transaction is due. This feature gives you an option to set the date days before the transaction date and its interval.

Here's how to set this up:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under Lists, select Recurring Transactions.
  3. Click the Reminder List button in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Click the New button in the upper right-hand corner.
  5. Select Bill as the type and click OK.
  6. Enter the Template name, select Reminder as the Type, and enter the number of days before the transaction date.
  7. Select a vendor (you can change this later when using the template to create the bill), enter the Interval, and the Start/End dates.
  8. Enter the details of the bill.
  9. Click Save template.

To use the template to create a bill:

  1. From the Recurring Transactions list, find the template you created.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow below the ACTION column.
  3. Select Use.

You can also check this article o learn more about the templates for recurring transactions.

I'll be here if you have any further questions. Thanks for dropping by.

Is the reminder just a reminder, or is it also recorded as a bill?

Thanks for joining this conversation, @akrejci.

When setting up a reminder in QuickBooks Online (QBO), it won't automatically create the bill. It only notifies or proposes a series of transactions according to the schedule you set.

They will be displayed in the Task section on the homepage (Dashboard). If you decide to create the transactions, you can just click the reminder and make any necessary changes if needed before sending them to vendors/customers.

For more information about the process, consider checking out this article: Create templates for recurring transactions.

Please let me know if you have any other issues or concerns in the comment section below, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Have a good one!

Hello there!

Thanks for joining us here. I understand that you want to have a reminder on the QuickBooks Online app or be able to export it.

While these are unavailable, you'll want to visit the QuickBooks Online Apps Store. From there, you can look for a third-party application that can set up a reminder.

Additionally, you can always visit our QuickBooks Blog for our latest news, updates, and innovations.

Keep on posting if you need anything else. Looking forward to assisting you again.

Thank you for joining the thread, @nico1224.

I'll share insights about setting up reminders for non-recurring bills.

As of now, the option to set up a reminder for bills that are almost due is unavailable. If you're using QBO Advanced, you can use the Manage Routines feature instead to achieve that.

Here's how you can do it:

  1. Click on the Gear icon. Then, select QuickBooks Labs.
  2. Scroll down and locate Routines for QuickBooks.
  3. Hit the Switch icon to turn on the feature.
  4. Hit Done.

After that, go back to the Gear icon and follow these:

  1. Under Tools, click on Manage Routines.
  2. Go to Remind yourself about upcoming bills and hit the Try it Out button.
  3. Enter the routine information.
  4. Then, hit Save or Save and Enable.

Also, you can send us feedback with your suggestion about setting up reminders for bills that are almost due.

For more information, you can also review this article: How to automate tasks with routines.

Please let me know if you're good. If you have further questions, I'm always here to assist. Take care!

@nico1224

You may need a task management app and a connector to integrate with your QBO.
