Hi @laurent-perraud,
Currently, you can only delete a single line item at a time in a bill.
However, you can click the Clear all lines or the Clear button to restore a bill back to the original form.
You can also share this with our developers by sending feedback. This will be a good option for future updates. Just go to the Gear icon then select Feedback.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. We're always here to help.
How can QB get away with being SO UN-user-friendly??? So many examples! This is classic.
No"CLEAR" button after you save.......... just fyi
Hello there, 101River and LBlev,
Let me share some insights about how Bill feature works in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
In line with your concern,101River, we're always looking for ways to improve QBO, so we appreciate you sharing your ideas.
As for deleting the line items on your Bill LBlev, the Clear button is found at the lower left button. You may see below screenshot for detailed information.
If you have further questions in deleting line items on your Bill, please feel free to visit us again. Have a great day!
A great feature to add would be "batch deleting". The solution you mentioned is great, I'm glad it is not a feature now. However, it doesn't' work good for larger PO's. For instance, I have a 60 line PO, and 10 lines ship, that leaves me with 50 lines to delete one by one. With double the clicks for the warning button (100 clicks for this invoice). Say 10 more lines ship out, that leave 40 lines to delete (80 clicks), and for forth. Painful.
The "Clear All" button removes the information of the lines I'd like to keep in there. So then we need to copy and paste to a holding location, then re-enter the lines after the clear all is executed. Also, this breaks the link to the original PO, so we have to do another step to go into the PO and "close" the individual lines. Now the PO shows the line closed, but still shows zero as received, as the link was broken.
So need a batch feature where we can just click multiple check boxes and select and remove them or unlink them at one time.
Thanks for your assistance and support.
Bill

It is soooo frustrating that you have not changed this yet. It's been over 2 years since this thread started!
Hi there, @jenfrp.
I understand how inconvenient it is for you to delete each line item in a bill. In the meantime, QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't have that ability. I highly recommend submitting your recommendations to our Product Development Team. To do that:
You may also visit our Customer feedback page to keep track of the new features added to QuickBooks.
After paying your bills, you can read this article if you want to email your receipts to QBO: Email receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.

I agree!! I literally took 10 minutes deleting unused line items on my invoice that should take a second like Excel does.

I realise I am two years late on this, but do you have any idea how condescending that sounds in English?
I feel like you don't.
This is the customer service representative of saying 'Oh no! Anyway.' and it's only funny in a terrible kind of way.
Thanks for following up on this thread, MRHALL74. I will address the issue with the missing button so you can resume your activities without further delay.
Are you referring to the Clear all lines button or the Clear button in the Bill? If that's the case, it remains visible within the bill.
If not, could you please let me know which button you’re referring to and in which part of the software you used to see it? Any additional information will help me offer an accurate solution.
I'm adding this article for more guidance on entering bills and recording payments in QuickBooks.
In addition, you can generate reports that provide a detailed overview of your vendor bills or monitor the financial condition of your business.
Should you have any more questions about managing Bills in QuickBooks, don’t hesitate to them below in the comments. I'll be sure to address them promptly.
It is the Clear All Lines button, which used to be at the bottom of an invoice. If I make a copy of an invoice, I now have to go and delete line by line in order to edit/create a new invoice.
I appreciate your prompt response, MRHALL74.
I can see the removal of the Clear All Lines button has disrupted your workflow. Let’s ensure your feedback reaches our product developers by sending suggestions to reinstate the functionality.
They actively consider customer suggestions when planning future updates and enhancements to QuickBooks. Here's how:
I'm adding an article to help you personalize your sales forms to have a greater look: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.
I will support you with any further questions about effectively managing your invoices. Please add them in the comments below.
We're nearing the end of 2024 and I still can't believe we don't have an option to delete multiple lines. It's such a time soak to delete one line at a time (+ checking the warning pop-up) that we're contemplating switching to another service. QB please develop this simple task ASAP! Please!
